Let's Appreciate This Game's Awesome Soundtrack

The music in this gmae is great. But it is unfitting, and badly used. And since Uematsu normally is the king of making fitting music I can only imagine it has to do with bad direction (like, here is a list of songs we need, get to work, with no more interaction than that). Most of the tracks is just way to epic for the game. That song you posted that sounded like an ending boss theme (with the chanting) - coerthas guildleve music? Really?

I heard that Uematsu just had the concept art to work off of and that he wanted to redo the soundtrack when he saw the actual game :X

I love good music but I'm abstaining from listening to these tracks until I hear them in game. I really burned out the Nier soundtrack and now hearing it in game doesn't do as much for me.

You'll probably quit before they implement them. And then never get to hear them.

Yep its in the making of eorzea, which is on youtube or if you got the CE in NA (not sure if elsewhere) its the dvd which came with it. They tired to make it eem like he was just just talking about the opening cinematic trailer, but it leads me to believe he only created the music for the game off of concept art ; ;. I like the music, but some of it doesn't fit to me in game. SO i usually use some of the more traditional japanese music mixed with gutiar tracks from the Naruto/Naruto Shippudden ost

That's just sad to hear for me , It's not that I dislike the music in this or don't think Uematsu is utterly brilliant , I feel like he could of done such a better job if everything went smoothly. A shame really because I feel we didn't get the mans best go at it.

Yeah I use to sit in East Ron all day listening to the music also hunting JEJ. I wish FFXIV was alot more like XI They should have just built upon what they created with XI, It always felt like a FF game from the music, partying and the jobs.
