Potential HoT Healer ideas

I do admit that WHMs have some HoTs but they aren't completely based upon that system. I'm hoping that the next healing class they release will be based upon HoTs. I enjoyed playing as a HoT healer in WoW (I don't miss WoW at all mind you...) and I'd like to see something similar added in later patches/expansions, BUT what class/job would be a good fit for such a healing class? Any ideas?

I'd really like to see another healer. I always play healers and 2 just isn't enough for me lol, I'd also like a HoT based healer. People kept telling me that SCH was going to be the HoT healer before the game came out, and while I really like SCH...I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little disappointed.

I would love to see a HoT based healer be added, but I would settle for a channel or damage based (something like Chloro from rift) healer.

The channeling idea is actually a really good thought. That would have mechanics that would set it apart from WHM/SCH which would be cool.

I thought SCH was supposed to be a hot based job, and i guess we really wouldnt know until level increase.
But a hot based (a la warden from rift circa 1.6) or channeled based healer would be pretty awesome.

Well if they dont mind changing what a job is, it could be the blue mage or the green mage.
However, there is still Bishop from FFT and Flintlock from FFT2
They could also get creative with time mage. HoT or and even conditional healing and proactive healing could be a very big thing.

I'm not very familiar with multiple mmo's. Can you explain to me the play style of a channeled base?
