Prepare for an influx of sch. Another way of putting it is prepare for an inflix of bad sch simply because of this.

joe- " oh you should roll a sch they buffed the crap out of them(5% buff to lust). whm got super nerfed(not really besides slight holy nerf)

Sch is easy mode though. Much more forgiving then whm. A person new to healing will generally make a bad whm and a decent sch i have observed.
As a whm they will go oom , pull threat and if they ever fall behind in healing, the target ends up dying due to whms lack of low cd instant burst heal.
Sch has aetherflow and energy drain,less hate overall, a pet that helps you heal and lustrate which you can use frequently in ohcrap moments.

For farming dungeons as a sch i can pretty much afk or dps fulltime while fairy keeps everyone up.

It will be glorious to see Eos blowing heal buff + AoE HoT on the initial pull over and over again.

Now that you can macro Embrace, it doesn't seem to me as if Place will be quite so crucial, since there's no excuse to be waiting for her to heal on her own (which she does more often when placed, which is the only significant advantage). I'll probably still do it out of habit, but I'm definitely going to experiment with it. If I can get away with freeing up hotbar real estate I will!

I'm sad about this too. I liked that scholar was an underplayed class, and that even fewer were actually good at it. Looks like I have to level whm now >.>
