bump for great justice!
No, it's not that you can't afford a small house. It's that you don't want to afford it. You want SE to just give you one for no effort, instead of actually earning it. WoW generation and such.
Good thing it's a JP company and you're playing on the internet there guy.

That might be the case for some, but I'm noticing more people that have been working/saving for it pretty much since launch. It's not that THEY don't want to afford it, it's the amount of time that would pass before they could. That is where most of the frustration is coming from on this subject.

Stop trolling. You did the same thing on the SMN thread and you're doing it here. You're only trolling and trying to derail the conversation. No, it's not that you can't afford a small house. See here. The Japaneses are also complaining about this:

I even painted lights on mine. LOL
Seriously though I think having a high price is a good idea, these are slightly insane. I want a price that brings my FC together to save for one but not so high that we may not get one by 2.2
How I see the new abilities:
Asylum - Get ready for my holy spam because that's the only healing you gonna get.
Aero III - I guess I should put some dots up before holy spamming.
Assize - I need more MP to spam holy even more, also stop getting hit in the face.
Tetragrammaton - I guess I should heal that tank now.
Stone III - There's less than 3 mobs left alive. - Ragns Meuhie

I think the prices are a bit high, but I also think it was foolish that people thought they were going to have a house Day 1. This has been touted from the start to be a pretty big investment, so much that they didn't just throw out a number early on.
I am in full support in the statements of the author of this post. And I think something really should be done regarding said prices prior to launch of 2.1 or at least before the turn of the new year.
I wrote an Email to Phil Rogers : philrogers@square-enix.com
I suggest you guys that agree with the OP do the same. I did add a link to the op in that email and added my own two cents about it. Basically I think the prices are too high. Phil Rogers is the NA CEO Of SE. Hope he listens.

It's absolutely legal. This is a game. Your subscription only gives you access to the game. It doesn't guarantee that your experience will be the same as everyone else's - and they even tell you that in the user agreement. SE can do whatever they want with and to your character, and they don't have to give you a fair shake in the game. They can also terminate your account at any time, and you agreed to all of this when you accepted the Terms of Use.I'm not so sure it's legal in the USA. I pay a subscription to SE for a service, but receive LESS for my fee than others who pay for the same service, all other factors being identical -- including the country of the subscriber. This isn't a case a market-specific pricing.
I have no problem with gil sinks but they should be equal regardless of which server I play on.
I agree with your other points. As a new player in 2.0, I found leveling on a legacy server quite expensive. Most of my cash has come from quests and leves, and I've otherwise had to be quite thrifty.
