I am fine with the prices. Most of the people in my FC are complaining that they dont have anything to spend gil on. I want housing to be something exclusive, not something that every 10 man FC has. In Lineage II only a few clans had clanhalls and noone was complaining.

If I was in a guild of 150 players, the last thing I'd do is hand them 1m so I can hang out in their FC house. With that many bodies I'd feel like I dont matter and the house wasn't even truly contributed to by myself, its like showing up to a party with 150 people and there's a pie you very thinly cut into 150 pieces. We can all look at it and enjoy it before we eat it, and we all get a taste.

But its just not the same.

If an FC of 24 (Alliance/3 parties for events) cannot afford an FC house then things just were not done correctly.

As I've examined around Hyperion I think I've seen only 2-3 fc's ever (1%) that topped 100 members, (90%) of FC I see must be 8-20 members, and the other (9%) 30-50.

I believe we can do it if we work together as a team and bust our butts off til we have the gil saved.

Nobody will donate that much gil to the FC! Wake up your idea. SE. Example "A" have 20 mil gils. Do you really think "A" will happily donate/contribute 5-10 mil for the F.C house? Human have trust issues. You don't expect me to pass money to a guy/gal I know for 2 months on the internet. Nobody will fork out the gil for the F.C house. This is reality. What if "A" stupidly donated and is kicked from the F.C. Alot of factors to think about.

I wouldn't be so angry about this if it weren't for the fact that half the problem stems from SE not addressing botting and exploits appropriately, especially in the beginning of the game.

My group had no expectation that they would necessarily buy a huge plot of land (we're a small group) but if anything is going to encourage RMT it's pricing some of these plots at such ludicrous prices. Less a problem for my server than some but honestly do you think anyone is going to get 635m gil legitimately?! Or that if they're sitting on a stash that all of that was legitimate?

Way to put pressure on the group of players FFXIV was supposed to attract more of, those with less time. What a big slap in the face. It's not even decent freaking content, why do they have to be so expensive?

24 people, cheapest legacy land - 8M, 24/8= 333,333 Gil. Is it really that much? I think that after finishing all quests 1-50 on my first job I had about 400K.

You are asking ppl to fork out 3/4 of their gil to invest on something they got no say or control on. Not everybody think like you.

You mean 300k. It would be 300k gil each.

8m is not the case on my server. You also have grave misassumptions about how well the casual or average player makes money. I am not one myself, and have a hefty bank stored, but you need to realize the average player is walking around with literally 100-300k in their pocket -tops-. Only those of us who are potently aggressive/good at playing the system are making more than such an amount. It is sad, but true. And I'd go as far as saying you definitely know it is before posting here.

The reality of the situation is OP that the larger the FC, the most disconnected the average member is from the FC itself and the least likely they are to contribute to housing, assuming they can even afford it.

It sounds so wonderful on paper but the reality is that when the game is focused on 8 man content large FCs are not cohesive at all and the bigger FCs on my server have frequent splits. They bleed members constantly and some I will not name can't even get a single person to donate.

Try finding your 500 man FC where everyone shoulders the same cost burden, try doing it yourself I dare you.

Okay, so assuming you have 24 people in your FC who are all regularly active and therefore all willing to contribute to the house, because they intend to use it and its benefits...

You are rewarded with a house the size of an inn room.

So seen as 24 people donated and all intend to use the house, and its benefits, why don't you imagine 24 people sat crafting inside your inn room.

    Have fun.
