Final Fantasy XIV welcome back campaign [speculation]

I was hopeful that some info would be at E3, to show the world the changes after the battle system, but I don't think they need to show anything until this game is READY for PS3 release. Which I feel we're getting closer to, and hopefully by end of summer we'll be at that point. As strange as it sounds, I want to be paying for this game. I want the game to be in a position that the developers feel we should be paying for their product.

If they show anything it will be at TGS. The Japanese development companies aren't as jazzed about E3 as us Americans are.

No debate on TGS, and unfortunately the focus of the replies seem to be if the game will be at E3 or not. Its my fault for evening putting those together in my thought and thus everyone seems to want to say it won't be at the show... Oh well, to that.

However, with the past two weeks being very quite, no real big info coming out, just some comments here and there... Skipping over the debate if the game will show up next week at E3, I'm expecting at least to see and learn more information here on the forms and the lodestone. Or does anything think they will skip next week altogether and wait for the following week.

This is the welcome back campaign I want to see:

1. Hype the crap out of XIII-2.

2. Make reviewers re-review XIV at the time of XIII-2 release.

2. Stick an XIV DVD inside every XIII-2 cartridge.

How has it been confirmed not to be at E3? And also, this isn't the focus of the post, E3 does seem like a great place to get it started.

And if your answer is that they have "released" their list of games they are showing off, then I would point out that is only a small list, and most companies show off more then what they announce.

No they dont, that list is just fine, there are some major big games there. FFXIV will get laughed at during e3, and with e3 happening this Monday if 14 was going to be there, they would of said something.

Yep, you were right. If I would have put money down I would have lost... No word out of E3 at all, or even on the lodestone last week. I read now that we will have a new letter in the next day or two, with some video which is exciting, but still I'm surprised we didn't get anything last week, besides the Q&A on gathering.

So I admit I was wrong about last week, and boy was I ever...

Still, I did like the comment about including a copy of XIV with every copy of XIII-2.... Wouldn't that be a surprise.

On topic:
I think a welcome back campaign is a little early, especially when the game didn't launch properly in the first place. What I wouldn't mind seeing sooner is the adventurer appreciation campaign for FFXIV.
