Can't change how wanna think. Sometimes 1 need to understand themselves. The problems faced by others isn't really a problem to begin with, FC housing never was designed to be available to everyone, we all knew it is going to be exorbitant and it is going to serve as a form of status symbol for those who could afford it at launch.
I really don't see the issue here, if you can't afford a premium grade Kobe beef steak, you really can't demand the restaurant to lower the prices to a level just so you can afford it.

This is why, more or less.
Housing was something that myself, my friends, and a whole lot of other people were really, REALLY looking forward to. SE was so tight-lipped about how much it would cost, so at least I and all my friends (and I'm sure a lot of other people) just did our best to make money and save. We're not super rich, we don't play the marketplace, and those that are Legacy players aren't any richer than the rest of us; we're more-or-less normal, casual players who saw a feature that looks really damned cool and wanted to get in on it by saving as best we could.
And then SE released the prices, that changed based on whatever metric SE used to measure the wealth of a server. All the months of excitement and hope that we could get a home for our Free Company came crashing down in one sudden, hard instant. It's only reasonable that we'd get upset about something we were so eager and looking forward to get snatched away because of the apparent wealth of the server. And it's even worse for people on Legacy servers.
These are the prices for Hyperion, my server. 20,000,000 for the smallest, cheapest, lowest-grade house, and even if we got super lucky and were somehow able to pick up a plot of land after 3 months of waiting for the price to drop by half, that's still five times as much money as it took us this long to scrape together. On top of the cost of the actual house and the furniture. That hurts.
RMT activate News at 11,
Investigation of all FC who buy large plots of land 72 hour ban well accounts are checked for RMT transaction.
Commendations.
If I play dps I only give it out to other dps.
If I play tank I only give it out to healers.
If I play healer I only give it out to tank.
Only if they should be getting a commendation.
There are always exceptions to the rules!
If everyone had 100k, you would be able to buy the small plot with 40-80 players... (depending on server group) I'm not saying you have to be in a FC with that many players, but that's with only 100k, which is nothing if you're trying to get money. You can easily get that money if you just try. Even a 8 man FC only have to gather 1mil gil each (most expensive non-legacy server group), which sounds like tons of money for a lot of people, but if you just try to get money and not just do dungeons, then you will easily get that money.
I have about 100k gil too, but I haven't done anything except doing dungeons and selling maybe 1 or 2 tome items. I have no crafters, and I have spend money on 3 relic-quest items.... I know that I can't complain about having little money, when I haven't done more. You can't have been doing more either....
I'm guessing you're new, but time craft items use to sell for quite a bit. Where it wasn't unheard of to make a couple million a day just selling them.
Ya and a lot of them lost all their gil some banned in a rmt witch hunt.
No wait it is all for the great good of the community. O well, at least I tried <-- a great lie I told myself.

We've sold primal runs before, although haven't done it recently. I currently have about 500k after buying some gear for an alt. I also made a bunch of money by selling stuff early at lvl 50. Other members of our raid have 1.5-2m, those with actual crafts. If i wanted/needed the money, I could make it. Look, our raid group has more money than your standard 8 players from a casual guild. But 8 million is obtainable, especially with even an average size guild at 15-20 players. Or you could just wait a little and not get in on the initial rush.
I have maxed all crafting. I am not one of the people who only has a 100k. But I know I am ON ALOT MORE Than them. PEople who struggle to find time to get in even their weekly 300 myths. People who have only pushed through the story. these are pretty high percentage of the people I know.I

FC's full of these people are the FC's that are going to have to wait on housing. The prices drop over time. Further, they're clearly not FC's that should be expected to be able to achieve the best housing.I have maxed all crafting. I am not one of the people who only has a 100k. Housing isn't a one and done deal here, I imagine if all of the plots are actually bought up quickly it'll mean two things: the prices clearly weren't as outrageous as people thought, and SE will almost certainly open more housing over time.
And if they aren't bought up quickly, then there's no problem waiting on the lot prices to fall.
