I don't play a summoner and probably won't main one any time soon but i'm happy to see the people unsubbing because of something like this. It really helps to improve the overall community![]()

How does losing loyal and dedicated fans of a game based on poor balance decisions improve the community?
I'm not sure that such a high dependence on a CROSS-CLASS SKILL was intended from the beginning. No other job afaik gets such a major increase in constant DPS from abilities outside of its main discipline.
SMNs need buff, not nerf.
Nerfing one class twice as hard as any other without even mentioning anything about it is not a good practice.
Tri-Disaster had 30 potency, a long recast time, and generally felt weak. At least Blizzard II is a step up in terms of AoE damage.
Thunder, though, was a valuable tool in terms of Single Target damage. Especially when paired with Bio, Bio II, and Miasma, and Contaigened with Garuda.
Yeah, this definitely feels like a nerf.
I had already migrated from SMN to BLM. My SMN job has been shelved until I found out what kind of changes 2.1 would bring. Because lets face it, SMN is very lacking in a number of ways.
So today we finally get the patch notes and... Heavy nerfing?
Don't hate me for saying this, but in a way I am actually glad Thunder is gone. I have always felt that it didn't belong.
But what I want to know is, what about Aero? The tooltip lists SMN as a valid cross class for Aero, but you can't actually use it on SMN. If this were fixed, I could accept the Thunder nerf. It may be a little less damage, but I would rather have Aero.
Tri-disaster is specifically made for its bind effect (which lasts 20 seconds, compared to 8 seconds even with buff on blizzard II). One does a little more damage than the other, but the other is funcitonally superior as a crowd control effect.Tri-Disaster had 30 potency, a long recast time, and generally felt weak. At least Blizzard II is a step up in terms of AoE damage.
Obviously, they're not loyal or dedicated enough *wink*
For those who didn't get it. I was saying the people who cry and whine and then threaten to leave the game are the worst. Either leave the game or make a suggestion, don't cry and whine your way out.
