I have an allagan scepter. So do many other BLMs, most groups that cleared twintania in the weeks after world clear are on their 5th - 7th clear, so its not all that rare anymore. Just need to confirm where Ancient Shield is in 2.1, it was listed among the new items.

Yeah, I wasn't really counting on Ancient Buckler, since we still don't know where its from. But it would be nice to get rid of the Darksteel Buckler. I suppose the new Allagan boots would be nice for the DET and SS set if you could make up the Accuracy elsewhere. I'm currently focusing on building the DET BiS set, since its the most consistent and not RNG dependent.

No way, otherwise there would have been a note next to it saying it is a pvp items as every other ilvl90 pvp item. Plus there is no one handed pvp wp for BLM being added, all new blm pvp and pve weapons are two handed.

I think if the Ancient Buckler was a PvP weapon, it would have Morale, which it currently doesn't. There would probably also be a Rank requirement, like the Direwolf weapon does.

I've heard rumors that its a potential reward from the Extreme Primals quest-line. I really hope so, because its the first thing I'm getting if that's the case. I'm not holding my breath though.
