Though on my main I am one of the few you talked about with massive amount of gil(through legit means) I 100% support this. This type of sever segregation is crazy.

My FC is in the same boat as most FC's on Balmung. In fact, the FC Leader we had, ran into some personal financial issues, so I inherited the FC, and was given 1.4 million gil, with the request to buy a large FC house. These prices, we can't even get a small one. 4 months building up 1.4 million gil, by 1 year we'd have only 3 million. So as of now, FC housing is completely out of the question for my FC. And it sucks having to tell the rest of the FC, we wont ever be getting a house because we just have no legitimate way to get that much gil.
I can hear the gil-sellers rubbing their hands together with glee from here.
Roll on personal housing, I guess. It's weird this wasn't done the other way round with cheaper, personal housing first.
Slice 2 zeros you mean OP? :P
EDIT: Yeah 2 zeros would make it too cheap. 1 will do better. Sorry guys.

Well said OP. It's hard for me to post anything without a lot of bitterness.
Small and medium houses really need to be more accessible.
/clap
Certainly it's not good for the community. I took the habit of helping almost each day a group to take Titan down, as something fun and helpfull for them. Now, after seeing those prices, we talked about it and we basically have 2 options, forget about housing (I'm on one of those family size FC you mention) or try to complete those Primals Extreme and sell those runs for those lvl 90 weapons, if they end up being sell. Cause I don't think Titan HM will still be sold... Maybe yes. If that's the case we'll have to sell those.
Cause right now people get about 200-250K in quest why leveling. Maybe 300-350K if you do all of them... So, the only way to get more money it's to get it from other players. I mean, levequests are not a serius way to get money, and doing dungeons gives...What? About 5K/ Hour for killing mobs? That's 200000 for 1 million. No, you have to take if of other players. Selling them things or services.
Well, maybe the increase in gil rewards make other activitys worth it, but I don't really think it will...
And is that, most people have those 300K that you have. Some have less, some have more, but I woud really love to know how much money are in each server and if we really need those gill sinks. I mean, I don't know about other servers, but in Moogle I only saw the prices go down. At least most of them. Cause if most people have about 300K, for our server means that to get the worst land you'll need a FC of 21 member to give ALL their giles to get the worst land possible. And give all the giles seems a bit extreme, to be honest. I woud say that if most players are about 300K, and a medium size FC is about 20-30 members a good price for a medium syze land woud be about 4 millions. So they have to give about 50% of all their money to get a land of his "size". Ok, maybe more, as the price goes down with time , but...It's about 27 million. That seems crazy to me...
To us, with 10 members, means that we have to put about 600-800K per player to get the small one. Some of us have enough money to do so, but most are about the 100-400K. And I think that most company are in the same position...
And our server is "cheap" compared to others. Seven hells, can't even imagine what 625 millions are :P
But the main problem is that you can only get a lot of money from other players. You can't really generate it, at least not right now. So, what is the intended size of the free companys? 400 members or something like that?
Thank you for your much needed letter on this subject Abriael Rosen.
I like many others have a thread about this issue as well. My FC is feeling this will not be attainable by us in any foreseeable future. I completely forgot till you brought it up about development costs. It's true that spending all of that money to develop a feature that will grab so very little of the masses cause of the over pricing is ridiculous and wasteful. I hope your letter is heard and responded too.
Don't get me wrong, spending development resources for niche features isn't without value, but it's better done years after a game's launch, when the core features are solid and abundant. Not mere monthsThank you for your much needed letter on this subject Abriael Rosen.
