SMN - Why it is not a very interesting job and not a good upgrade from ACN

*Loss of Thunder--big damn deal. That spell was on my 2nd hotbar set and I rarely use it. Black Mages have better use for it.
*Change to Sustain--so? If you're not capable of managing MP (or your pet) on SMN, you've been doing it the wrong way. Unless they also chaged Aetherflow, this is hardly earth-shattering.
*Change to Coil boots is hardly anything to get bent out of shape over. Summoner's boots aren't going anywhere.

Your Allagan boots may be "trashed,*" but your AF2 has the same stats. We have no such option.

*It's arguable that the new Allagan boots would be better/BiS for BLM.

Because of SS? I can't comment on that really until we know where is ancient buckler coming from and if the stats are the same, then it may be BiS. Otherwise, no Acc so it is "trashed".

Btw I'm not arguing that SMN got the worst out of this change, I'm just arguing the claim that BLM got buffed when in reality we got nerfed.

Just because you don't know how to play your Summoner, and don't see how big of a loss this is doesn't make it a small change

Yeah, Black mages use it better but seeing as it does the same damage of multiple ruins, kinda feel like you may have wanted to use it more (especially with raging strikes/contagion). Sustain isn't earth shattering but doesn't help any, Coil boots are annoying, makes us all have to switch to summoner boots, and people are more so angry with the principle of the matter, seeing that it made more sense to change the AF2 for black mage.

I don't think you understand the potency thunder brings to your damage on single target stuff. It will do as much/more dmg than your Bio 2, and Shadowflares which are your strongest dots. you've essentially lost a major dot from your rotation. This is pretty... boggling.

really man its the only reasonable motivation for this nerf...now SF break sleeps and binds btw... but HEY we gained a nerfed ice aoe that bind for 10 seconds! oh wait..but bind is broken by sf... LOL
Really dev if there is a reason for this big nerf tell us!! isnt enought that we have to manage 18 skills + pet to have a decent dps ...now its difficult to play and unusefull with very lower dps..GRATS

a huge issue with these changes is that we are already STARVED for accuracy. Garuda takes 450 WITHOUT FOOD and myth boots are crap

probably must look for crafted and melded gear...maybe in CT there are nice accuracy boots but are lower level than allagan so...dunno!...still hoping in some misunderstanding with translations
