The amount of entitlement is absolutely astounding.
Sorry, but you can't ALL have gigantic mansions on the most prestigious plots of land, sorry. You can, however, buy smaller affordable housing.

This would hold true if things went as planned. But they didn't, SE screwed up and the RMTs found ways to generate MASS amounts of gil from nothing. Causing amounts to sky rocket. In late september they confiscated billions of gil due to these exploits. But the damage was done, the gil was in the system and there was nothing they could do to fix it.
Until now.
Its plain as day to see that SE is inflating the costs due to the amount of gil on the servers (most which was created illegitimately).
Not everyone should have a huge mansion you are correct, but at the same time the prices should have never gotten this high to begin with.
Don't use words you clearly do not understand. Wanting a housing plot for a lower price is not entitlement.
Right now this is FC housing so it should have been expected considering FC housing is a made for your entire FC.
Personal Housing prices is another story but we won't get that until later.
Even the smallest house on the lowest price category in my server (Ragnarok) is worth way more than I ever had or I will ever have.
I was REALLY pumped up at the idea of the housing system, having my own little place, decorating it, going back there before logging out... Now that I know the prices I had to aknowledge that this is never going to happen, that it's a system that it's never going to touch me the slightest, and basically a feature that I'm paying real money on and that I will never be able to experience in game.
Nobody talked about having a gigantic mansion, even the "affordable" house costs 20 freaking MILLIONS, and I only managed to put together 2 and half millions since the server opened up, saving on everything.
I think I have enough reasons to be upset![]()
Small house on my server, at 40 million is still out of my reach. In fact, even the reduced 20 million is out of my reach ^^
Everyone thought paid retainers and fantasia would be the end of it.
You were warned.
Cash shop in, TrystWildkey out.
Look, I don't really wanna get into it with you, but the problem for many is this simple:
My friends and I have played this game since 1.0 launch. We saved, we worked together, we played fair. We STLL can't logically afford a 'good' house on our server. So while I agree that 'not everyone should have a big house' A FC of 40 active members should be able to afford a 'big house' after 2+ years of playing the game....without totally bankrupting themselves. I don't need to be house poor.
No, they shouldn't.Look, I don't really wanna get into it with you, but the problem for many is this simple:

Housing is new content. Just like every other piece of new content, it is not meant to be consumed on day one. This something to work towards as of 2.1, that's why they've balanced the prices as they have. Any Gil you've accumulated before hand is a head start.
The housing content actually starts when the land is bought and you start to build your stuff and put furniture inside. Gill farming is not housing content.Housing is new content. My entire FC has been saving since release and we just today hit the 4 million gil mark, half of the 8 mil needed
