See, I would agree if he wasn't in a lot of i90 gear. Relic weapon +1, Myth Ring, Sorcerers Petasos, and BLM myth Body.

Looks to me like a fair bit of WP farming has been done, but who am I to assume... thats kind of what made the whole thing funny to begin with. We have all done the run so many times and it turned out to be a disaster.

I agree to an extent Zlatan. I farmed the living daylights out of WP; I was one of those noobs that couldn't get past the Demon Wall for ages. Then something clicked, and now I can do it asleep. Till then, WP was the easier option.

Bloody Demon Wall. Mind you if you woke up one day trapped in a concrete block, you'd be pretty pissed too at the world. Bit like Metamorphosis with granite.

Were you clearly joking? No, you weren't clear. It definitely didn't help that you started out calling the party weak and thinking you were better than them in some way.

I believe the BLM's lash out was the anger of his deaths, the jokes being seen as attacks to him and his skill, and the thank you comment the tip of his boiling point. The way you asked for a thank you was worded like a demand for a thank you, which is poor reason to thank someone. Without that comment, I bet he would've just left silently.



You can still be called an elitist even if you're not geared like one. Attitude plays the major factor as I would base "Elitism" on a person's skill and humility. Saying you deserved a thank you was the lack of humility, therefore based on the events that you transcribed, I would have also assumed you were being an elitist.

The server you play on only plays a small part of being an elitist. He ultimately was generalizing your server based on your actions and any other Goblinite players he may have come across. For example, say he's met you and one other person that were being elitists. Well to him, that's 100% of the people he met from Goblin that he considers an elitist and therefore generalizes the whole server as elitists.

In the future, I would ask if you could pay more attention to your first impressions and be less of a joker to players you've never met. Not everyone is going to laugh, and some will only laugh to call you a *bleep* off screen.

This. I had my first lvl 50 way before even AK was changed from the GC quest to AV. I played WP one time, and ran nothing but AK's and CM's for a very long time after that. After the patch that gave WP myth tomes when people flooded to WP, I stuck with AK. IMO AK is more of a fun dungeon. It may not be as fast, but my FC AK-static finishes it under 25mins without skipping many mobs. I only just recently started running WPs because it's easier to find a DF for it when my friends aren't around. But idk, personally I would have gotten that joke and you would have gotten a good laugh out of me when I examined your gear too

Indeed. The internet is a pretty hostile place. I'm pretty sure we all know that. The worst of the bunch will spew out some of the dumbest things imaginable. Some will mean it, some are just trolling. No one can honestly tell via text. Heck, some people find humor in making it as believable as possible IRL. It's just a matter of accommodating to the fact that text doesn't easily imply hidden intent.
