Making it to wp doesn't make you weak or a noob. I guess they were just insulted by what you said. They are exp players by making it that far (more or less) + it may not have been their 1st time in there? Maybe they've been there multiple times and succeeded... only to have you question their ability.

Ok, so if someone else makes a joke one more time Ill make sure to call the forum police >.> ... read the OP. The whole group was engaging in banter centered around the same thing. I was in AF body, hands, legs... DL everything else. I wouldn't be as simple minded as some and repeat the same joke over and over again if it weren't funny/the other group members weren't doing the same thing.

Like I said... The thread is not asking for validation on my comedic relief skills in a video game... more about wanting to know how goblin has a rep for being elitist... /sigh

Maybe he was from goblin as well and have been having issues with the people he meets on that server so he's just generalizing based on his experiences.

Sarcasm is notoriously hard to get across online, especially in a group of strangers since all sorts of people frequent the 'net who would say the same thing seriously.

Furthermore, repeating a joke that one person in the group didn't get will feel like a poke at that person, and the rest of the group bonding over the fact that one person didn't get it (and by extension, excluding and belittling them).

Some might be able to shrug it off, but it is generally good form in social interactions to switch to another, more obvious joke instead so that everyone has something to laugh about.
