A Final Fantasy MMO.

I had no idea this game was even really being developed until I came back from vacation and decided to look up new FF projects and noticed this was in Open Beta. I've been a fan of FF for nearly 20 years, started playing around the age of 8. The series always held a special place in my heart. So naturally I'm always interested in their new installments.

I remember speak of "Rapture" a long time ago but never bothered to follow up on it. So yea, at the very least, a Final Fantasy MMO is what I was expecting. Needless to say, I was not amused.

I'd say you were amused long enough to get 3 Rank 50 jobs. Joking aside, I think a lot of people including myself were expecting FFXI-2. Although looking through the patch notes and reading through the planned updates I think that the game is finally heading in that direction, for better or for worse.

Lol, I suppose you got me there, Hubert. I am a contradiction, just like Starburst!.

But honestly though, I am not one to cap as many classes as I can. I prefer to try my best at the select few classes I choose. The problem is that's pretty much all FFXIV offers at the moment.

I don't hate the game, it's enjoyable enough to play it (sometimes.) But the main thing that keeps me here is hope. If I knew for a fact that the game we have right now is the same game it will be in 3 years from now I wouldn't waste my time. Judging from the info we're getting from SE though, this does not appear to be the case. So I'm still here, hoping for the best, but I definitely won't miss the game if it fails to deliver.

Definately for better. XI has much love and sequels are not uncommon for SE anymore. More of a good thing with better graphics was what I was hoping for.
