i personally thought it would be just like final fantasy 11 but i heard it would be more casual so i thought it would have alot more things like those fights they had in the past in ff11 (i forgot the name its where beastmen rushed ur camp) i thought they would keep the partying set up and everything but just give people a way to level steadily solo but faster as a part and even encourage partying but not punish soloers.
yet thats gone once i bought the game
i dont have any idea what its going to become though i just hope they dont 100% cater to the casuals

I imagined a game that was better in everyway imaginable than what it is today. I know thats vague, but it's the best way I can put it without breaking the character limit number for these forums.

I imagined a game that expanded on its predecessors merits, not threw them out the door and pretended they never existed. At the very least I imagined a world waiting to be explored...even that they somehow screwed up, and this pisses me off the most since there is no way its going to change much.

A Final Fantasy MMO.

I had no idea this game was even really being developed until I came back from vacation and decided to look up new FF projects and noticed this was in Open Beta. I've been a fan of FF for nearly 20 years, started playing around the age of 8. The series always held a special place in my heart. So naturally I'm always interested in their new installments.

I remember speak of "Rapture" a long time ago but never bothered to follow up on it. So yea, at the very least, a Final Fantasy MMO is what I was expecting. Needless to say, I was not amused.

Actual goals to, you know, attain.
Other than that it was pretty much what I was expecting and a little more. The crafting and gathering classes impressed me initially, but now I realize they concentrated on them perhaps too much, making what is usually an in game side hobby into half the games content.

We don't even have the final, or close to the final battle system yet. That's like pre-alpha or alpha.
