I can't believe some people still don't understand what the OP is asking for, like the little gem that is post #60. I will say it again (not like it needs to be said) NOBODY IS ASKING FOR FREE TOMES, THAT'S RIGHT, NOBODY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Is that now clear?

The OP is asking for the opportunity to EARN Tomes at a time that is more convenient to his lifestyle. This is what most companies in the world do, they're flexible to the needs of their customers. Those that aren't, fail.

It is understood that to be fair to everyone you would only have roll over tomes if you've kept up your paid subscription. So we have a situation where someone is paying for the game, wants to play the game but can't because of RL. This is perfectly understandable and all they are asking for is to be thrown a bone and given the opportunity to earn tomes when they get the chance. They are not asking to be able to earn more than a player who plays everyday, they're not asking to be given them. They simply want to be able to play when they get the chance, weekly limits are counter productive to that and a slight tweak would make a big difference.

    Thank you.

These are the OF, what do you expect mang

Like said earlier, I don't mind this kind of system. Good luck catching up on 2,400 myth tomes after a 2 month absence.

I think its fine the way it is. People who can play each week should be rewarded. Someone shouldn't be able to not play for a few months, then catch up in a couple days to someone who has been actively playing all those weeks.

Lets say this system that they are talking about is active. You are gone 2 months and then come back to have your myth cap sitting at 2,400. How many WP runs do you think you can take before you lose your sanity? Or are you talking about the principle of the matter?

the only way you'll EARN the tomes, is by actually playing the game like everyone else, regardless of how you put it, this "roll-over" essentially gives the player who was away for a period of time more of leeway then a normal player that has been here the whole time

can you honestly agree that giving someone that has been gone for months, the ability to earn 2k+ tomes in a week, when a normal player that has been here the whole time could only get 300 per is fair?

regardless of the cap, that much of a boost to someone that hasn't played for months is hardly fair for anyone

But you would still have to do the runs, so you would be "playing the game like everyone else" People are already saying this is a Monday only game and they play for 2-3 hours and then log off for the rest of the week. How is that more deserving than someone who puts in 5-6 hours a day for a week when they have the chance? What matters to me is that they do the same work for the same reward, I wouldn't support doubling up tomes per run for example. You would still have to do 10 runs for 1000/300 tomes, nobody would be working harder than anyone else.

Months? no, not really, there would have to be a limit to how many tomes could be stored, I wouldn't have a problem with 3-4 weeks worth a bit like leves.

Months is too much as I agreed above but if they're still paying for the game and have to earn tomes at the same rate I wouldn't consider it unfair.

You earn your tomes by logging in for the whole 2 hours it takes to get your 300 to hit the cap. if you arent there, then tough. no game should implement a system that encourages not playing. No one would log in if all they had to do was show up the 3rd weekend of every month and grind out WP and get equal gear as people who played the entire time. where did this idea come from that because you cant play, the game should make it easier for you. This idea works nowhere else, if you miss the bus, you wait for the next one. It isnt a matter of paying the same amount, its a matter of who was actually playing the game after they paid it.

What are you people going to do when myth gear is outdated and you cant burn wp to get the best stuff anymore? When the game actually requires you to do something of a reasonable difficulty to get the best items?
Myths was the biggest mistake this game has made, how does it make sense at all to earn lv.55, 70 AND lv.90 gear at the same time in the same dungeon??
Its bad enough that you have to do practically nothing to earn the highest level gear in the game, but now you want it to wrap around your schedule? When people heard that allagan weapons were getting put to 95, everyone cried that the HARDEST encounter in the game gave a better weapon than that wuss titan + waiting 3 weeks (or not waiting at all if they already had the points) gave. just ridiculous. why should anyone do anything if you can earn the best stuff by running 10 minute dungeons. I didnt realize this was Final Fantasy: Wanderers Palace.

If your subscription fee means that much to you, then you should be playing. like i said before, if you spent half as much time getting myths as you do crying on forums that you dont have time to get myths, youd have your myths.

There shouldn't be any Tomes IMO.

There should be tomes, but they shouldnt be available outside of binding coil. Most people want token systems because the thrill of the chase is too cumbersome now apparently. The tomes should give armor close to quality of the dungeon it comes from as a tip of the hat to people having bad luck. But in no other game are the tokens for the highest level equipment earned by running the easiest dungeon in the game. you can run 3 WP in the time it takes to run 1 copperbell. Not sure where this expectation came from.

I have to disagree, this game is already to casual friendly. ilvl90 gear is not needed for anything currently in game aside maybe making Turn 5 easier.
And with a possible cap increase, you can catch up in some manner then.
MMOs have always been favourable to people who can afford a lot of time to sink into it. aAlso there will always be an influx of new players over the first few years of the games life.
If people are stopping you from doing certain raids outside of Bahamuts Coil because you don't have ilvl90, Then you need to find better people to raid with.
heck some jobs can manage Turns 1-3 with ilvl70.

tl/dr Take your time, no need to rush. there will always be people in you're level range for years to come yet.
