Sorry but you can heal perfectly T1-T4, and maybe T5 too without spend those points on any stat...
Yes, it is a difference, 30 points on mind is something between 30-50 points per heal. It's a good amount if we get the percentage of the whole fight, BUT it is not going to prevent you to heal fine in coil
I really don't understand why everyone thinks that Arcanist having 2 seperate jobs should be based off the same stat? They seperated it for a reason, and you can see that the future jobs will do the same.
i.e., Conjurer/white mage is MND, well new job will be Int? or Pie? or maybe even Vit? who knows.. but the 2nd Con class won't be a MND based, actually now that I think of it, Con get's Stone and Aero, so probably Geomancer and it be an Int class.
I think they aren't separate because you leveled 1 class and got 2 jobs out of it, no other job has that.
tbh, I feel the stat points are an unnecessary remnant of launch FFXIV. In post-Yoshi 1.0, the game did not allow you to dump all of the stat points in a single stat, and jobs benefited from multiple stats. The system as it is now is only an illusion of choice. SMN and SCH are both my favorite jobs in the game, and I would like to be the best at them as I can, for my own enjoyment. As a SCH main, I rarely play SMN outside of my ls or fc and even then not frequently. I am lvling an alt to be SMN main, but that is not increasing the amount of money SE is getting from my legacy account. If I had to pay extra money, I wouldn't bother. This problem is going to spread to other classes as more jobs are added. The only reason I can see for the current system is to encourage ppl to have more than one character. In XI, I personally never had a problem with my non-job specific merits effecting my freedom to play a job I had lvled, but the stat bonus seem to exist solely to lock you out of the other job on a class.

When the second Dreadnought appears, both the fairy and my GCD seems too long. Even with the heal buff from Eos and Virus it was hard keeping up with the damage. I was in level 70 gear with earrings and pants being level 90.
I honestly don't know if I would've made it with less mind, from what I've experienced it, it had zero leniency for error.
It must be the same for SMN since that's such a tight damage check. Maybe it wouldn't be a problem if we had level 80 stuff from CT, but for now I think it is (and future turns too, if it continues the trend of releasing Coil as two "tiers" above from current content).
I do feel like it just slightly contradicts the supposed free form, be a master of all, character system present in all 2.5 of the FF MMOs when you force the player to choose one job over another, or just split it evenly and be mediocre at both. 15 points is pretty damn significant when you get to Coil.
A sizable amount of MMO players love to min/max, and the ones that play these FF MMOs love to have their one character be the best they can manage at multiple different jobs. I mean it's not a big deal for me since I think Summoner is infinite poop and Scholar is the new hotness, but it's going to be quite a dilemma if something cool like Thief is from something else cool like Monk down the pipeline, and they require different stats.
Oh, and it's probably not great for people who actually care about both jobs. I guess.
You can do it perfectly fine, in this faze the tank pop up Hallowed, we kill the old dreadnought meanwhile the off tank is "kitting" the solider and knight. After that we kill the "adds" and go to the dread and kill it fine. When the second Dreadnought appears, both the fairy and my GCD seems too long. It's to dificult to heal a tank with both dreadnoughts especially if both have stacks
