Grand Company Expert turns ins are dangerous - PLEASE READ

About six weeks ago I had just got done doing to WP and AK runs for tomes. I had switched to my Alchemist for whatever reason then decided to go turn in my unwanted loot acquired from the previous dungeon runs at the Immortal Flames area. There was quite a bit of loot to turn in and by the end of it all - to my horror - I had accidentally vendored my http://xivdb.com/?item/6255/Hero's-Ring-of-Casting [iLvL 90 ring purchased with Mythology tomes].
While some would say this was my own fault (and possibly rightly so) I want to know why the vendor will not even attempt to accept Darklight/Allagan and the `Blue` graded iLvL 90 items but will happily take the `Green` iLvl 90 items??? To make matters worse - there is no additional warning right before hand over (like you would get when turning in say, HQ leve items) AND worst of all - THERE IS NO BUYBACK OPTION!!!
I sent in a ticket but never did receive a reply. I even called SE N.A. but the guy said that was not something he could resolve - I would have to issue a ticket.........
Well....last night.....after multiple AK and WP runs (in an effort to get Mythology tomes to replace my iLvl 90 ring that I accidentally vendored six weeks ago) - I did something similar and accidentally handed over http://xivdb.com/?item/6245/Hero's-Necklace-of-Casting [iLvL90 neckpiece].
Again - maybe I should have paid closer attention especially after the first error however the lack of warning by the vendor, even the ability to trade it in in the first place and worst of all the NO BUYBACK OPTION is bad design.
I filed another ticket but judging by the first ticket I will get no reply. This is a request to SE to fix this and a warning to folks who may accidentally do what I did. Plus a GM getting back to me EVER would be a bonus too.

Yep, sounds like you should pay closer attention.

While adding a verification step might help address the problem, your lack of attention is what caused the issue. Be more careful in the future... Fool me once, shame on you...fool me twice, shame on me.

Would you also blame the city if you got into an accident because you drove into an intersection because they didn't install something that forced you to stop?

I understand that but your city example is not a good one. Example - the vendor refuses `Blue` items ie DL and Allagan but will take `Green` even if it is ILvl 90. Wouldn't that be like the traffic lights only working for certain colored cars and not for others to use your example?

Probably not the best analogy as I'm pretty sure you'd have a case for there being no traffic signals or stop signs. (unless you're insinuating said person just flat out ignored them)

    Greetings Penty,

We appreciate you taking the time to report this concern you are having to us. However, since this sounds like a discussion on the current state of gameplay rather than a bug report, I will be closing this particular thread. We welcome you to post about this concern in the "Gameplay" forums in order to discuss changes you would like to done to the game.
