This. It took me 20+ Ifrit runs to get my Harpoon, while I saw the Garuda weapon drop twice (lost the roll the first time) in hardly 10 runs.

Apart from that, which is all at RNG will, you're just better off farming Garuda, she gives better tomes and pretty much all DF groups can handle her, in the Bowl of Embers you always have the risk of getting a party with no SMN/BLM that doesn't know how to deal with the nails, or noone stunning Eruptions etc.

Garuda is completely doable with a lvl 55 weapon.

The only problem would be Titan. I've ran a few DF groups for Titan HM that almost had all darklight weapons and it was never enough DPS to take down the heart in time (I've landed 2 where I was the only Primal weapon holder :/). Most server groups expect lvl 60+ unless they offer to carry you.
