    Even with a VPN service you still get lag on west coast? I'm sorry to hear that...

    A friend of mine also in upstate NY bought BattlePing and hasn't had issues since. Even so, I won't pay for another service to do what I'm paying my ISP and SE to do. I can play other games just fine for free...

    Just posting to say, "me too!"

    Got lagg issue with TWC from SoCal.

    Using battleping fixed it. Can't say I am pleased having to shell out extra for a vpn service.

    This seems to be something on the west coast USA.

    From here in Sydney if I use the LA smoothping servers I get the skipping lag. I have to use Chicago or New York servers to get a good connection.

    Just throwing me "me too" into the ring. Using Comcast near Atlanta, GA. The game's been pretty much unplayable this past weekend. I ran tracerts until I was blue in the face and all the packet loss is occurring in the latter hops. I even bought a month of BattlePing, but it doesn't appear to help. Interestingly though, I can play the character I made on the JP datacenter without much issue.

    Since yday i started to get nonstop lagg spikes.Game totaly unplayable and i live in Europe 100/10 connection, no isues with any other game i play online.SE fix it or well you lose another costumer.

    Same here

    Weeks of lag here - west coast connection, Charter Communications in California(San Luis Obispo charter office). Since the most recent patch I have not only been having the consistent 1-2 second lag I have been suffering for ages, but huge lag spike resulting in completely disconnecting from the server, a couple times a day if not more.

    If you want to try to actually get someone working on it, need to use the proper reporting tools--SE's and your ISP's support portals.

    Best advocate will likely be your ISP, as the bulk of the problems appear to be cropping up at the segments managed by everyone's ISP's routing partners. These are the guys that are carrying the data beyond our ISP's localized segments and handing it off to SE's ISP. They don't have any agreements with SE to carry your data--but they DO have agreements with your ISP, so there is a better chance to get someone to lean on the people mostly responsible for the problems if you can get your ISP to investigate it more thoroughly than just verifying your modem has a good connection.

    If you can provide at least the actual IP your game client is using for them to run tests against, they should be able to spot some signs of the pending congestion issues in the routing. If you can actually provide pathping/tracerts clearly showing the symptoms it will give more incentive for them to escalate things to a higher support tier. You will likely need to go beyond the help desk that takes your phone call, so you may want to check their website for a chat option or an email option--with any luck this well get you to Tier3 or higher support faster. If online contact options aren't available and you have at least the IP address your client is using, when you call in push to speak with a tier3 technician (especially if you have pathping/tracert data to provide them)--mention you've investigated your connectivity specifically to the game server and you have information for the T3 techs to use for testing that you need to forward to them. With any luck, you'll actually get one on the line, or at least an email address you can use to submit your information.

    Post 2.1: Problem still persists and hasn't changed. Called and scheduled for a complete overcheck on my ISP and nothing is problematic. Even changed modem for a throw up.
