Your feelings on patch 1.16

Your problem is constantly comparing quests to FFXI. Stop.

FFXI had WAAY more content to keep you busy that quests didn't NEED to give SP. FFXIV is a different boring linear beast.

abd for sp. msorry 1 character 18 jobs. is why no sp.
exp quests are in games that your character is in 1 class type. Since exp quests are not repeatable. You will not have any quests for the rest of you classes.

Also silly pills is a better terms for stupid pills. like "did you take stupid pills or something" Trin lay off the stalking or i'll report you for it.

Everyone needs to just relax and take stuff with a grain of salt.

And also about ffxi and the content.. 1 ffxi us launch was after the jp one. we are going througfh the same thing jp went through with ffxi. 2 content is subjective. ppl still scream lack or no content. Even though side quests were added. If yoiu guys didn't bum rush stuff you would have stuff to do.

Yea you're right about that and its not really not this entire thread just certain people annoy me with just bashing or saying something fails without stating how it could have been implemented better. So I apologize to those that did write a valid review if you became offended.

Ok so I just saw two youtube vids about 1.16

I think you guys are to picky.

1 The aggro Icon is really not that bad to me. I like it. And I'm a long time ffxi player, I barely played WoW and I'm am not a person who enjoys eady mode. Amd infact for me is easy to ignore and I have ADD.

2 sidequests do not need cs for that amount of text. The fact the npc appears to be talking should be good enough. And side quests are good to do inbetween levequests since they have no effect on fatigue.

3 I like the larger mobs makes me think of ffxi. Some of the ffxiv mobs i seen in vids were too tiny. Like those marmets or rats. Sorry but how epic is it to kill a tiny rat? Not very.

4 larger icon for the LS bazaar and w/e the hammer thing is a non issue. It help I think. I like seeing details on stuff and its hard to see shield patterns if its tiny. Imo bazaar icon is about the same size as in ffxi.

So personally I have no negetivity on 1.16. And really think if you have such an issure ur too picky to please.

So let's get this straight, you don't play the game, only watch in videos, as you've stated more than once. You played ffxi for a 'long time' and yet enjoy the larger mobs saying they remind you of ffxi. What giant rats did you fight in ffxi? How much more epic is it to kill a giant rat?

I'm not trying to attack your opinion, as everyone is entitled to one. What I am saying is play the game, form an opinion after playing for an extended period of time and maybe you'll understand what people are talking about in this thread.

Over all I would give this Patch a 7/10 (Average patch)

I would give Side Quest a 7/10
-Typical MMO side quest nothing fancy.
-Has lore to it but nothing really important.

Targeting 8/10
-Helps a ton on all classes except conj, the losing the ability to click names to target is horrible again. But 6 improved 1 hurt.

Mob Size 6/10
-I love being able to see the detail on mobs better but some things are just so disproportional big now it lost a lot of that realism feel the game had. Why are the rats and marmots the size of a Lalafell? Why are skeletons bigger then the largest humanoid model?

MP Regen 7/10
-Unneeded if you actually level multiple classes, but it does help mages when they start out.

Agro Sign 5/10
-Looks tacky and is unneeded. People need to learn the environment. This is not catering to the casual it is catering to the retarded. If it must be there make it look better, serious it is worst looking thing in the entire game atm.

Other 8/10
-Cobyln Nerf 8/10: I see this as a good thing, the game is more the killing cobylns. Maby now people will stop just spending all day in the mines and broken water.
-Journal Update 8/10: Makes it easier to see everything at one click, I feel hat was a good update.
-Everything else is too minor for me to mention.

No SP for quest = FAIL
Target system = Fail
Doblyn nerf = FAIL
Crafting SP nerf = FAIL

Faster options for local leves = WIN (now do the same for reg crafting to make grinding easier.)

Since the hell when do you get EXP for quests in any FF game? This isn't WoW. You shouldn't get EXP for quests.

Anyway, I liked half I disliked half. I like the change to mob sizes (except skeletons), overall it feels more FF-like. I really dislike the aggro icon. I also dislike how all the quests are almost identical in structure and they need more variation.

This game needs more ways to rank up not just leves. MOST mmo's have a rewarding quest system FFXIV doesnt. FFXI doesnt matter because they had other content, FFXIV does not.
If you think doing a quest that gives you SP is like WoW i'm not forseeing a leg to stand on with your arguments.

I will reiterate. SP rewards from quests would be retarded. This is not WoW. In addition, how do you tell who gets SP? You could have done the quest with 5 different jobs for all the computer knows. "Last job you had when talking to quest giver" would be ridiculous. Bad idea.
