What are you expecting in 1.18? Why worry about track record? If you believe they'll bring the game up to ff expectations then why all the doubt? They're headed in the right direction and even they don't like the how far away they are. We wont get exactly what we want in patch 1.18 but we will eventually. Personally I don't doubt thatOh I agree, It's not like SE has intentions of letting this game fail, but it has been pretty hard, and the player base has just been voicing that. Only by letting SE know whats wrong can any change come, and I'll admit that a lot of it is overkill, but it's understandable to me at least. I thought Tanaka's 'vision' was poor or clouded, or poorly executed, and I like the turn that the team is taking now with planned stuff, but we all don't know how much of that we are going to get in 1.18, and judging by this game's track records, I'm skeptical too.
Honestly I don't think 1.18 will be a big saving patch. It's probably going to have dungeons and MAYBE the job system if we're lucky. But probably not much else besides bug fixes, moar targeting changes, and some typo fixes along with some ability updates and auto-attack.What are you expecting in 1.18? Why worry about track record? It's going to be bigger than all the other patches but it's still not going to be an extremely drastic change. Honestly I don't care about the battle system as long as there is content to be had, but everyone else wanted the battle system first so...whatever I guess.
PROVE ME WRONG SQUARE. ENIX.
Peach Parfait/Khulan Angura on Gilgamesh
Considering this topic is creeping up to about 18 pages and the tone is fairly consistent I'm sure no one is getting annoyed since almost everyone is on the same page.Everyone already knows what is wrong with the game - that would be why SE is overhauling the game little by little each patch that comes out.
Stating the obvious over and over about what everyone already knows will merely annoy most readers who read the forums for new info about the changes and new ideas for new changes.
This is the wast stwaw, these devewopers have wubbed me the wong way for the wast time. Ooooooo.
Where the horsebirds at?!
1.18 is not my final straw, but the whole system due by summers end may be.
Too many patches have come and gone with half-implemented content and minor changes.
If patch 1.18 manages to bring substantial, well-implemented content, they have my support.
Wrong. lol i wish it were going to be a big great patch that will fill all of our ls's with former players that left and new players that heard of the wow awesome 1.18 patch that magically turned this aweful game into something worth bragging about but its not.Honestly I don't think 1.18 will be a big saving patch. Soooo many ppl have there hopes up and man your gonna be dissapointed big time!
It most likely as another said in this thread, will be a part of the battle changes, some blah blah glitch fixes, the 1/2 done dungeon content and a bit of the oh so highly anticipated yay yay yippy companys, and thats about it, man i cant wait!
Not for 1.18 but for the backlash on forums afterwards LMAO its gonna be far more fun spending time here then in game after the update on june 30th.
PS. I dont mean to be the bearer of bad news but ppl that are thinking to much of this patch then its actually gonna be..
your setting yourself up for a big let down its gonna take a year+ to see any change in this game.
I've accepted it and moved on, forums are far more enjoyable then the game even the loyalist know that, thats why you see thoes that defend it have 1,000+ post on forums and not playing. =P

Again, the point is - no one is paying to play the game at this time.
Stating they wont play anymore while the game is being redone is moot, let alone quite silly and pointless.
If ppl want to be a part of what goes into each of the patches that come out, they can stay and help SE come up with new ideas and be ahead of any new players that join the game after it goes pay to play.
If ppl don't want to be a part of what goes into each of the patches that come out, they can leave and let SE use their own ideas and be on the same foot as any new players that join the game after it goes pay to play.
SE is changing the game with new ideas the fans would like to have in the game all without costing any players any money at all, so complaining about how fast or slow things are going is quite silly.
