So, over the last few weeks I've been farming materials for weaving and leatherworking off of mobs while spiritbonding. Almost every single time I do, someone comes along, stands there watching for a few minutes, then, without saying a word to me, begins spamming me with trades. After I get mad and tell them to quit it, I'm clearly not botting, they say, "I need to kill those for a quest and you're hogging them all." Okay... so your first thought is to, instead of asking nicely if you can kill a few for a quest, lock me out of all other game functions? Really?
I'm a pretty nice person. I don't bite. I try not to be an asshole unless provoked. If you need to kill the mobs I'm farming for a quest JUST SAY SO, and I'll be more than happy to let you kill them. I'll even help you do it if you need it. Don't just start spamming me with trades like an epic douchebag. Because, you know what, I can play the douchebag too. Every person that starts spamming me with trades like that gets reported for harassment. After a lovely chat with a GM the other week I found that spamming trades on a person like that is actually a banable offense. You could lose your account forever because your first thought was to treat me like a bot, rather than opening your mouth and asking politely.
And on somewhat the same subject, I can't even count how many times I've been gathering crystals or something and some jackass just walks up and starts spamming me with trades without a single word to see if I actually am botting or not. Talk about being a self-important ass. I mean, how hard is it to send someone a quick /tell. Seriously. I get that bots are awful and ruining the economy and all, and I understand how angry people are over them, but you know what? You're not the internet police. Spamming me with trades is going to get you reported for harassment, no matter how good your intentions might be. Get over yourself, and JUST FRIGGEN ASK!!! It's getting pretty damned old.
