You're better off popping it seperately unless its a very bad hit coming in.

Vengeance fits very nicely between 2 Inner Beasts. 6 seconds IB, 15 seconds Vengeance, followed by 6 more seconds IB. Gets you ~30s of decent damage reduction for tanking large groups (turn 4 anyone?)
This is exactly what I had in mind since they announced Changes.
BB Combo(2)> Heavy Swing > Internal Release> Maim > Berserk > Storm Path (3)> Inner Beast > Heavy Swing > Skull Sunder > Vengeance > Butcher's Block (3) > SP Combo (2) > Inner Beast > Infuriate > Inner Beast > Repeat (Bold equal Warth) This equates to over 30secs of consistent mitigation. Shouldnt do this for boss tho...you should hold them till burst damage.

'Other than Provoke'? That's a little like saying, 'other than that, Mrs Lincoln, how did you like the play?'
I hear you though, as I lust after some better cross skills myself. But Provoke is the only threat copy in the game and is absolutely necessary for effective tanking in FFXIV.
