    Honestly as bad as it was I rather just have the drop rates from 1.0 and be able to do the content rather than the lockouts. I get it the lockouts are put in place to draw content out longer but again just make the drop rate tighter and open the content until you get this all sorted out.

    Just throwing this out there, but most hardcore fc's already have a full or close to full i90 sets. I know some that are working on a second/third set. Even I've been getting a few pieces for my second job.

    So this is unlike the Binding Coil of Bahamut, for example, where you can receive equipment as many times as you want.

    Yoshida: There's a big difference between the two. The idea behind the Crystal Tower is that you can repeatedly challenge the tower with the goal of obtaining one specific item, and then go ahead and do other content once you receive that item.
    That was in a recent famitsu interview.

    It looks like you've started to delve into coil yourself but I want you to keep in mind that after putting in some time of practice it is very easy to put coil down in little over an hour. The time commitment is low for those who put the practice in. I don't think anyone would mind a short 24hr-48hr lockout on ct but a week is a bit much. To help put it a bit in perspective, it will take you approximately 7 weeks to gear the same slots in i90 while it will take you 5 weeks to do it in i80. Not including the chance for gear drops in coil.

    TBH I would have rather them put the loot lockout on coil and keep tower lockout free and for the casual crowd. I would also take a restriction on member access such that you can only take up to 4 people whom completed the turn. In this way you could easily limit the viability of of gear selling while allowing players to help others with their runs. There were plenty of times when I've seen people just needing to fill a slot but couldn't find anyone unlocked.

    Well for me I could care less since I play only on the weekends unless I get off work before 5pm on weekdays. I cap my myths on Friday- Saturday and do coil for the rest of the weekend. Ct will already be more then enough for me, then again I m considered a casual, if you play for 40+ hours a week no mmo could release enough content to satisfy ppl but I would welcome something similar to merits in ffxi, were u could spend hours of playtime just to get 1 merit point (at the later stage).

    MMOs are supposed to have a ridiculous amount of time sinks, that's how the monthly fee is justified

    Everquest had enough content to easily satisfy 40+ hours per week. That argument has no merit.

    I played eqoa, most of my time spent was on cms, pvp, and raids. But plz don't tell me upon release that there was enough content to satisfy 40+ hours a week without replaying same shit over and over.

    Maybe not but this game isn't going to have much more content than it does in 2.1 as it is following the wow model of 2 relevant raid tiers and 1 relevant dungeon tier, and we've already received some comments and confirmation that he's going to make old tiers irrelevant as new tiers come out.

    Maybe. Still 10% pushing through coil is quite a bit.

    Only about 10% of players are participating in the Binding Coil. That's actually higher than they anticipated, though.
    BG had an awesome guy, Slycer, translate stuff out for us from Famitsu and onlinegamer.jp . I would recommend taking a read on their site for the interview.

    Square Enix is just way behind schedule. For those complaining on the lower item level of crystal tower vs Coil, you should know that all this content we are seeing in 2.1 except maybe for the Housing was supposed to be already out at Launch back on Aug but they had to push it further.

    So all these items, dungeons etc were already made by that time but needed refinement and bugs fix. Maybe they shouldnt had released Coil before crystal tower but they did it and its a mistake they are paying now.
