Is anyone else upset that no DoL gear drops out of coil or CT. We demand more! I must have my gathering jobs geared in Allagan!

Because the item you want is guaranteed to drop, and you are guaranteed to win the roll. Right?
...Oh, no? You still have to compete with others AND the RNG. Guess you won't be doing CT once unless it's an extremely lucky week then.
It really doesn't take that long in WoW. Even without hierlooms its easy to go 1-90 in a week or less.Big difference in WoW and most other MMOs is characters can only be 1 class. You pick your class when making the character and they are stuck with it for life. You want to play a different class you made an alt, which came with its own set of raid lockouts. Now in FFXIV your alts are all on the same character which only has 1 set of raid lockouts to use.
The thing is leveling other jobs on the same character is a lot easier then doing it on separate characters due to only having to do 1 set of missions and quests to unlock everything. In games like WoW you had to do all those quests and stuff over for your alt to level it. It takes around 3 weeks to 1 month to cap a character in WoW vs like 2-3 days in FFXIV.
There really needs to be more flexibility with the armoury system.
So you're trying to tell me that those people who want to stay competitive aren't already grinding wp non-stop for DL gear? I have several people on my flist who have all battle classes at 50 and all they do is finish coil/cap myth on their main and then do literally nothing but grind wp for DL on their other jobs and unlock new relics, some have every relic already. Making lockouts based on your job rather than based on your character would do nothing but expand the options since rather than mindlessly grind wp you can change jobs and enjoy literally all the content endgame has to offer rather than a single dungeon.
Hint taken SE. I'll play anything but FFXIV Tuesday through Sunday.
Don't worry though, Monday's are still yours.
We still need to get our coil runs under an hour. And I guess I'll do a CT run for an item once a week.
Nono, it's cool, we're still friends. But you might want to take a look at what you're doing to the community.

..and remove greed option in some dungeons. So you can only get the items if you play as the class. Gearing your BLM while playing WHM feels weird.

You can already get around the lockout by just having a separate character for each job.
All the lockout does is make it pointless to level 2 jobs on 1 character.
Being able to level multiple jobs on 1 character is a huge selling point of the game.
A huge selling point of the game is completely pointless.
Good work Squareenix.
To me the greed option is fine since I would rather see gear go to somebody aside from dropping to the floor if nobody needs/can use it. I think if people were only receiving tomes (leaning more towards myth here) for their currently equipped job, that would be enough incentive for people to actually play the job they're gearing up rather than simply getting tomes on their healer/tank job in order to purchase gear for a different job which a lot of people are doing right now.
The issue is that, if you have let's say 4 Jobs, with one main job, you could run CT with each job but still "Greed" on your main job items. Same for Coil.
I also think that a myth cap for all jobs is not a good idea, at least not with the raise of the cap. The "main" parts of equipment are 3135 Tomes (No belt, no accessoires) which would be 7 Weeks and you would have it on all your jobs... and the rest would be like 4 weeks. So 11 Weeks in total for all i90 on all jobs... without even counting coil gear. It would most probably take around 8 weeks... and I'm talking about ALL i90 here...
