That's for the best gear ingame. CT is not even 2nd best gear ingame. Lockout for alt gears..... hahahahaRemember when all the people complained about coil not letting people run multiple times with other groups of friends, just to help each other gear? So many people were like "Just lock us out of gear after our first run. I'd run this over and over, even if I couldn't get the gear I wanted... just cuz it's fun and I'm helping others and want to try this on my monk instead of being forced to heal."
....
Regardless if they leave or not the casuals will end up getting bored as well at some point or a new game will be released thats even better and they will leave as well. Personally if I was to leave I wouldnt be back, others that leave may not return either. Seeing this is a remake of a failed game some if not a lot wont give SE a third try at it. You need a healty population of all player types not just 1 or 2 this is something that SE needs a reminder about.Say goodbye? The majority of people who have these complaints are the end game community (myself included), which is by far the minority. This game is catered to their golden goose which are the casual and moderate players (which far outnumber the 'crap ton' of players you mention). And if you read my other posts, I'm not telling him to quit forever, I'm saying to quit until the game improves to their liking (if it does).
When you make a game where leveling is easier and faster than a game called World of Warcraft, you better be prepared to have tons of content to keep players interested.
If I'm playing for glory, I won't be playing in Tower. People wanted it for Coil because they wanted to actually help their friends out to do the real tightly tuned progression fights in a game that ostensibly wants you to be playing one character instead of making a dozen alts of different classes. Comparing that to a three group Duty Finder raid that doesn't support group alliances is disingenuous at best.
Can I have all your stuff? The ones in the FC chest too please
I bet if this game had a grind outside of the gear grind we wouldn't see all these lockouts. Hell maybe if it took more than say...a day to hit max level perhaps?
I hate feeling like I'm being fully controlled as to how much I play and when I play. It honestly feels like the fatigue system from 1.0 all over again.
haha that's how I feel. I was hoping to gear all my jobs in CT gear since I'm fine not touching CoB but it doesn't look like that's happening anymore. I would of been happy with a 1 day lock out but a 1 week lock out is a downer.
Gonna go on a big hunch here and think that there will be 6 sets of armor and not a set for each job. If you direct your attention here
From left to right.
If these sets are JSE and classes can't use them then
This is will be for blm/smn
Next set has already been shown holding relic bow in pictures so we know this is the bard set
The third set is drg how do we know this? http://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/pr/blog/000552.html (don't know how to make it where you can just click on the link) 1:24 seconds into the video you'll see the male roe in the picture above using invigorate with his relic out
4th set shows a female monk using a fist move in the same video so it's a given
5th set is whm/sch, it can be seen being worn by a female hyru with whm relic weapon out in the same video
and finally the 6th set the warrior of light's gear which will be worn by pld/war.
Let's pretend for a moment Yoshi and Co. decied never to lower the lockout time then that there is 30 weeks worth of farming to gear all your classes if there isn't a set for each job. So if you have all jobs at 50 and start farming dec 17th and get the piece you want once a week you'll have all the armor by april 8th next year. That's what I call streeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeechting content out.![]()
