I meant you could dodge it this way pre twister fix? I have beaten TT after fix and twisters were easy to dodge. Too bad they didn't leave it unfixed and yoshida could of just made a video showing how to avoid twisters. Instead of the silent change.yes, you can dodge twisters by moving in such a way that never retrace your steps, it can be as easy as sidestepping or run in a circle/square. You should never follow someone in the same direction because you might get hit by their twisters, neither should you be clumped up too closely because Twister can chain react.

well 2.1 was supposed to be 4 weeks ago so and that was before launch that he said that so yeah i think it sounds about right

na, I wasn't able to dodge it everytime, i'm playin at 280+ ms as well so it was difficult to gauge the timing. But i'm pretty sure given enough time everyone would be able to find their optimum timing, it can be 50% for others and 20% cast time for me. I dont think it's exactly bugged though.
So you had to move before the bar hit 20% or you would be twistered? that is rough. Cast bars should be more accurate and never delayed. I'm sure if they made cast bar appear earlier for you. You would of dodged twisters easily. Maybe they just fixed the cast bar? >_> thats why everyone is dodging twister <_<na, I wasn't able to dodge it everytime, i'm playin at 280+ ms as well so it was difficult to gauge the timing. Its actually easier if it's sooner because you can just move right when the cast bar comes up but like i said, i never found out the timing. So you had to move before the bar hit 20% or you would be twistered? that is rough. I don't think there's a foolproof fix for latency or delay, its something that everyone has to deal with. When something requires you to have execution timing attune to 1-frame combos in SF over the internet then it can problematic.

It's ridiculous to think a dev would possess the skill that no player has when you talk about a mechanism like Twister. The only way players won't be able to duplicate something a dev can would be if the correct way to dodge Twister involves spinning exactly 360 degrees while airborne when the castbar is at 50%, and the only reason players can't pull that off is because no one is insane enough to try something like that. If you let people know that's what they're supposed to, you'll easily see the top players of the world having no problem doing whatever crazy thing you can dream up (provided it's at all doable). The 'you (players) just don't know something' argument is just dumb. A dev, who is likely nowhere near the top MMORPG player of the world, isn't going to know something the top MMORPG players in the world do not unless the knowledge is some kind of gimmick.
I think SE is notorious for doing this. In FFXI especially. I really hope they don't make encounter do this random crazy thing that we won't tell you or wipe .Its the lamest design ever. Its an effective way for them to stop people from defeating "challenging" encounters. It's ridiculous to think a dev would possess the skill that no player has when you talk about a mechanism like Twister.
