    Oh please if there where no lockouts you "super hardcore" players would have the gear for all your classes by now and would just be complaining about nothing to do much like you are now. Its that go go now now now mentality that is a person problem not SE.

    So what would be the problem with CT / Primal lock out per job? You get a piece for your tank in CT. You can't 'get ahead of the casuals' on your tank by running more, but you can go ahead and get a piece for your 50 SMN.

    You have more playtime, you have more 50s, now you can gear more 50s.

    Yay?

    Extreme Primal drops i90 so should be locked. It's to stop people like me from gearing all of my classes. Notice the 'hardcore' players don't really complain about CT locks? Cause we already have craft melded gear that is equal or better, so we don't really care. It's the casual that complains about CT locks. Don't kid yourself if you're not willing to outfit yourself in full DL or craft what makes you think you want to run CT a bunch of time hoping for that one piece.

    Have you ever heard the prhase "too many cooks spoil the broth?"

    Hiring more people only gets you so far. More people also means more red tape and more people to manage those more people and a dev team can eventually collapse under its own weight. You can't just throw more people at it. Do you have any idea just how many people are and have worked on this game? Did you ever watch the credits? the FFXIV team is HUGE.

    Lockouts aren't a simple annoyance, they are a necessary means of pacing MMO content due the inherent difficulty in creating content faster than players can play it

    While I'm sure there are people with that specific mindset, I'm also under the belief that people want an option that doesn't artificially stretch out content. Lockoiuts and RNG are designed to make content last longer through repetition. That mindset got very tiring long ago for most MMOers in my opinion. I feel that...many people wanted something...more current from Square Enix, myself included. If this is their way of doing content then I can expect every other bit of content to be on a weekly basis too, thus turning the game into a 1-2 day activity until reset, rather then something you can actively hammer out each day. Now the current game wouldn't work if they did things this way, but if they heightened certain aspects to fit a more time/invested game structure, then RNG/Lockouts could be eliminated, and long, engaging content could easily take it's place.

    In theory when you think about 2.2 is going to be another 3 months? 12 weeks = 12 pieces of gear to at-least gear out a alternate class with.

    Yeah, sounds like CT is already a roflraid, don't really feel like putting a lockout on it is legitimate when Coil is already serving as a ridiculous end-game speedbump for anyone who actually uses the armory system to play more than one job.

    So the loot CD for CT is an entire week? I'd only heard that there would be a CD after looting, not the length. It's a real bummer that I have to choose between completing my mnk ninja suit for vanity and actual usable upgrades for my other jobs. It's like every decision SE makes is at direct odds with the armory system. Needing two drops to upgrade from those stupid two slot tank pieces makes this news even worse. WHO THOUGHT THOSE WERE A GOOD IDEA?! Tanks get so boned in the gear department. o_o /rant
