    If you did not join with your friends, then there is absolutely no reason for you to stay. 8-12min WP speed runs will most likely still be a better source of tomes. It would probably be most efficient for you to get your weekly piece of gear, leave the dungeon, make food, run WP/BCoB for tomes. I assume the 23 remaining players will be able to progress to the end. The iLevel is 55 so I really don't think many people will be affected by a tank or healer leaving. If the alliance drops to around 18 players, then those remaining would probably have to wait for people to "Join in Progress."

    I think my primary concern with this is the fact that people don't want to finish running the dungeon after they get their loot. In the face of so many people saying "Oh it's boring, we need more stuff to do", dropping a dungeon after getting that one thing of loot seems kind of awkward.

    Granted, I know we're all in it for the gear, but why get that one piece and dip out on the rest of the party like that though? What about the other guys who want to get their piece of gear also? Or for those who want to finish the entire thing without having to wait an absurd amount of hours for someone else to pop in, get their item, and jump ship?

    I'm not really saying that everybody plans on bailing as soon as they get their gear for that week, but with so many people talking about it, it makes me think that there'll be a lot of selfishness involved in this dungeon. As much as I abhor DF, I would like to do CT, but if people are going to pull the "okie doke" on every group as soon as they get their gear, then this entire process will be a suck fest.

    I really hope it doesn't come to that.

    So so SE can realize how 1 week lockout for 2nd/3rd job is lame

    It's going to happen, and probably a lot more than people want.

    There is a valid argument about Finishing the dungeon because it is new content, but ask anyone who has run AK or WP in excess of 50 times whether they'd want to finish WP if they got their Myth Tomes after the first boss.

    I made a spreadsheet and with some simple assumptions (6 sets, 6 pieces per set - since "high level accessories" will drop from Extreme Mode Primals I didn't include them in the set) and a run of CT yielding 2-4 items (2 is in line with what a turn of Coil drops, 4 is in line with what a regular dungeon drops) you'd need to run CT an average of 24 to 46 times to obtain just one set of gear. That doesn't include the fact that an item you need may drop and someone else rolls and wins it.

    So, by time you've run CT enough to complete one set of gear (assuming that the loot lockout is both for NEED and GREED options), you are likely going to be pretty sick of CT.

    I think by placing the loot only at the end and by allowing an infinite (or at least larger quantity) of Greed rolls, you'd help to give people good reason to stick around (at the end makes it a requirement, able to Greed even after you've got your one Need for the lockout period would give people the chance to work on alt gear or some off chance an item they want no one else wants).

    Not that I want to be the "boy who cried wolf" on this, but at the start of 2.1, any soul who wants to do Crystal Tower, has to do so with two other 8 man groups supplied via Duty finder. So that would be all of the groups that would be a serious issue.

    Which is why I hope this rampant quitting after receiving a piece of loot isn't the case. It'd make duty finder even more of a catastrophe than it already is.
