And? Your point? There is none. Mondays aren't my only day to play FFXIV. But hey I do take some days to play NWO, STO and Rift, but that doesn't mean anything is amiss or wrong with this game.

I am going to assume, and correctly so, as i always do, that you are referring to the reset days. News flash for you - your "statistic" is just a guess on your part. No one I game with even raids. We just like to play. But hey, you can prove my wrong by linking me to the officially published SE/FFXIV log that states that "95 percent of players play only on Mondays due to the reset." In the meantime, as with the first reply to this thread - yet another pointless free for all. There I took my free bit for all

I guess its because I just got my 3ds I started to lose interest in FF14 lately. I play FF14 now mostly on mondays just to collect myth. Then do raids on saturday and sunday nights. I don't really have any other reason to login anymore :< I no longer have that oomph to level... I guess I'm burned out.

C) Turn around and start pushing casuals thru content cause this will force new progression content faster then anything else. Who better to listen to then the people who have done all the content themselves?

In any MMO you always have a population which sits at the forefront, even XI.

Unfortunately many people don't understand the ideology behind MMOs. I gave you a short short version so you understood why MMOs are as they are and why we can't do what people want with the flick of the fingers cause one little mistake can destroy an entire MMO.

I think you have the impression that game developers make games to help the world grow and prosper...I wish I lived in that world. They do it all for one thing, money, makes the world go round. A smart man once said "money isnt everything", "they are right" a smarter man said..."its the only thing".

And that my friend is the real ideology behind MMOs, the internet, the computer you type on, the car you will drive to work, and the house your sitting in...money.

I assure you it is no where near 95%. You may have that perception if you only chat with your FC people and then log off.

As someone who logs on regularly I can assure you that there are a LOT of people on all the time. Now, if we try to filter through your crude comment to get to the underlying gist, what you are really trying to say is:

The majority of end game/FC people can complete their content (Coil, tomes) on Monday, then have nothing else to do.

This is a valid statement, and the crux of the matter is that a lot of people only see value in getting loot. And the best loot can be obtained through Coil/Tomes.

Until people see more to this game than getting loot, this is how it will always be. We need a game where the act of adventuring is reward enough and the loot is only secondary.

Op your are true on it to a sense , When person first starts out there going need hardcore some time, Before the once a week log in way works lol. Then once you get to the end game with the right friends and guild then it, becomes once a week game. Then square need to have a set up for people that get off of work and play the game for 5 hrs a day or the people that can put in the 40hrs + into the game in a week. Since it is a subscription base game should be stuff to do everyday once max out all jobs 50 and crafts for those people. With stuff for everyone to accomplish everyday. I will give square a pass since first game they made in the modern mmo gaming market. FFXI was a old school market, more patience for updates, Different generation of gamers then.

Now days there are a lot better ways to slow progress down with out locked outs all the time. One said way is just design the dungeons like square doing is have different modes and a progression ladder with gear equal to endgame to a point. Then all they need do is just changed the mobs strength and gear items levels and maybe extra boss fight. I am sure if they would allow a pc gamer. It will never happen But it a cool feature some games allow. That they can mod the game, and they could create it for square in a week. Each week or two weeks. while there working on new content.

It is true you need money to run MMOs but it false that MMOs can be fabricated in any shape or fashion.

Money does influence how much you can bend the MMO but it doesn't change the fact that the core basics of MMOs must always remain.

MMOs were created so we could escape the current confinements of this world.

It's not anyone's case except the OP. He just thinks that because he chooses to play 1 day a week that "95 percent of the player base does the same", when in actuality he really is not that important that everyone else follows him offline. LOL.
