wow, i totally didnt know that.WAR is THEE hate mongering mofo, so too speak. PLD is the B.S.H. of the 2, they take hits like champs (as so they should) but hate management, that's the issue, in mass group pulls. Meaning more then 3ish (pending on PLD). WAR is best for multi-mob pulls, with Overpower AND the ability to use flash. PLD cant do this, but, has the CD's for DEF+. They both have there roles, and unfortunately WAR is the "bastard child" of tanking in BC (Behemoth's Coil, for the peeps that don't know the acronym). ALTHOUGH, apparently they seem to think they have it figures out. We shall see (crosses finger's and prays). By the by, i am a main WAR tank, but also leveling PLD up to 50 as well.
You mean Binding Coil (BC) of Bahamut, not Behemoth.
I'm not arguing that WAR can't be effective in SR's, obviously we're capable. That being said the fastest WP I've ever heard of is 8 mins 24 seconds by a PLD/BRD/BLM/WHM. The big difference being that with MP song the PLD can spam flash plus the WHM can spam holy due to the PLD's ability to use cool downs to remove the need for most healing and cover for when the BLM goes ham.

Te fastest speedruns are alwas Paladins simply because they can pull more mobs than a WAR in the initial part of WP.
That's it really.
This group in the video is fully decked out in ilvl90 Gear. The WAR in my video was still wearing DL.... Although its prolly the fastest SR on tape, I wouldnt be surprised if a someone comes along and beats that record with a WAR . i Gurantee you someone will, especially after 2.1. Prolly has already happened. BTW If a WAR is Geared enough, it isnt neccessary to heal them constantly if he is good. When I run with FC WHM, They spam Holy very often.I'm not arguing that WAR can't be effective in SR's, obviously we're capable. WAR's can pull just as much. If you watch both videos, Mine and Zoomies, They run it the same. People underestimate WAR too much. They really dont need that much healing in WP SR if they are geared enough. When i run SR with a WHM, WHM spam holy unless it hp is dangerous low and with everyone dpsing, Mobs are dead before healing becomes a problem.
You would agree PLD is easier to play right ? So how do you explain no matter if I do with pug or FC, that its always faster with my WAR ? Dont say gear because it is shared.
With WAR, all 4 members can be AoE Dpsing.... With PLD thats not even a option. ( CoS is slow to matter.)
Look again at your video. He has 8002hp in Defiance which is considerably more than a DL warrior has. Meanwhile he may be wearing the DL chest but he is visibly wearing af+1 boots, gloves, and probably the allagan legs based on the bit of skin we can see above his boots. He is far from a "DL" warrior as you seem to think.
Find a video with a warrior tank SR that comes anywhere close to 8:24 and we can have a debate. I simply don't understand what you're arguing. No one is saying that warrior can't SR, aren't good at SRing, or that PLD's do more dps in a SR. Simply that as it stands now, yes we're talking about 2.0, that PLD's are the superior SR tank based on all the evidence shown in this thread thus far.
I simply can't say, from experience, which is better. I haven't done any real experience "min/maxing" a speed run as both WAR and PLD so I won't argue which is better as I don't feel qualified.
