Selene's silence cast is too slow and on too long of a cooldown, not to mention Eos is just flat out better for healing, which is what a SCH should be doing.

Also, you really shouldn't try to speak for your entire server. There was a brief period of about a week where people thought 2x BRDs in T2 Coil was a good idea. Then we became better players.
I've seen one MNK do all T2 silencing. I've seen two PLDs do all T2 silencing. Any combination therein works as good, or better, than 2x BRDs. The problem with stacking BRDs is that you must also run a DRG to keep your overall DPS high. The problems with running a DRG should be obvious - they've been discussed to death recently.
Wrong. Eos leads to major overheal by Turn 5 (assuming proper gear). Selene is the better choice for Coil once you get at least half ilevel 90 across the party. Eos is simply a throughput crutch and all DPS checks are tighter than any heal check.
Errm.......
Selene is overall better when it matters, Eos is better as the default "I don't care to control my pet" fairy. Though I'm guessing you're probably just being sarcastic.

Eos is fine when you are having throughput issues which most healers should have if only in mostly DL/Relic across full party vs. Turn 4.
Otherwise, yes - Selene is more universally useful with good gear.

One of the worst conventions in ARR is the one that dictates you have bards silencing ADS in turn 2. Tanks are usually the first ones to start pointing fingers because they don't want the party to realise it would go a lot smoother if they just did it themselves. Get this? it wouldn't even require that much of them. But shhhhhhhhh.
And don't dare miss that silence whilst you're are passing rot.
I'm confused. What about setting abilities to the hotbar doesn't already allow you to do this?
Or is this primarily a PS3 thing, on which it's a lot harder to target with?
On the bright side, lazy tanks not wanting to do it themselves means getting a group as BRD is crazy easy, especially if you're actually competent and know how to push buttons.
It's absolutely mind boggling how many ranged heavy groups will try to do weird rot formations and crap for passing it around instead of just doing the stack method. If you have 5 ranged you literally just all stand in one spot and let rot pass itself.

I've tried the stacking method with a couple of groups but it didn't seem to work. Not really sure why though..On the bright side, lazy tanks not wanting to do it themselves means getting a group as BRD is crazy easy, especially if you're actually competent and know how to push buttons.

I've already successfully handled silencing in Turn 2 as Scholar. It wasn't that difficult to do so, but it would kind of draw my attention away from healing when my turn was coming up. Having a macro would make it easier though since I could just tell her to use it on my focus target instead of tabbing to the enemy first.
Depends on which nodes you end up killing. Chain Lightning tends to destroy the group rather quickly if you're all stacked up. There's also a lot more moving for healers since most lasers and firestreams will be targeted at the group.

Although it should be mentioned that your stats carry over to the pet, and healer accuracy is pretty damn abysmal. Not sure if Selene's silence is a special case though. With Pet Macros as part of 2.1, you Scholars won't be forced to drag 2 Bards in the party! Cheer everyone as Selene, whom is rarely used for her 'Random' Silencing, can be much more easily controlled and you can use her to Silence on command without 'Micromanging' the pet hotbar!
