I just wanted to show that even with our ps3 limitations we can still do endgame content.. I didnt asked for kudos.. Props etc.. And this post was aimed for tanks on ps3.. I dont even know why you still going at it.

PS3 is no different if you are used to it. The only draw back the PS3 has is loading large amounts of data all at once. (FATES) Other than that, any prejudice towards PS3 players is purely PC elitism. I play on both and prefer PS3 100 times. I'm a WHM, my brother is a PLD and my cousins are DPS's. We have all been beaten turn 2 and are alll on PS3.

On topic of the thread, I have beaten turn 2 so far and I have been in coils for half a week so far. Ask me this time next week. I hope to at least attempt Twintania this week. Possibly beat it. We will see, but the PS3 is not holding me back.

Thanks man.. Good reply.. All i was trying to relay is that ps3 players can def do endgame, however ps3 does have some limitations specially tanking, i wish you luck on coil runs though man.

My brother says otherwise. Think about it. How do most PC players target? Tab? That's exactly like PS3's left and right buttons. The GCD allows for plenty of time to switch between rings and having just 2 rings gives you 32 slots for skills. (AKA all you will ever need) Also, movement is better IMO with sticks vs keys. Lag isn't really an issue in dungeons. (Anymore)

I play on the PS3 and I'm a black mage. I've gotten to the point of almost beating twintania (8% health, we died to enrage cause we were holding dps to build LB!) but honestly I could not have done it without the assistance of people calling out twisters for me on team speak.

I agree that even with the limited buttons to press quickly we can still do just fine (sometimes even better) in battle than PC players but the lack of FOCUS TARGET is the one REAL issue.
Thankfully we are finally getting that on Dec. 17th.

All this talk about ps3 limitations about tanking but where's the proof?
See im not trying to deny you credit of your success story but all I get from you is:

    1. Tanking on ps3 is hard. No actual reasons, just limitations that seem to be irrelevant on the content you are doing.
    2. If you think its so easy, why dont you try it out yourself? I would if I had a Tank geared enough to do coil, its not even 50 yet.

Youre probably going to tell me to shut up cause I know nothing about tanking or "why dont you try tanking twintania on a ps3?"

All I see in this thread is OP asking for recognition for something that he thinks is an amazing feat.

Here you go bro, Congratulations on tanking and beating Twintania while using the PS3! Surely thats an amazing feat and we are very grateful that you shared it with us n_n

Our MT is on PS3 and were past phase 2 on Turn 5 and only our 2nd time in there.

But to be fair, the OT has a way more challenging job than the MT.

Turn 1: The MT just stands in one place from 1 plat to another plat 1 foot away, meanwhile the OT is on the back plat getting all the adds doing all the feeding and positioning the split
Turn 2: This is 50/50 there is no true MT here
Turn 3: Nothing to do here
Turn 4: Again, stands in one place picks up dreadnaughts, does nothing else except kill a rook. Meanwhile the OT is tanking all the spiders, tanking the rook and spider in phase 4, tanking the knight soldier in phase 5, and kiting the soldier spiders in phase 6.
Turn 5: The OT gets all the crap here, the dragons, hellfire call outs, the snakes, etc etc etc

So the OT has a harder job imo. And it's much more demanding latency/lag wise and the PS3 tank should be the MT.

According to our scholar who plays on PS3

He simply can't understand why player thinks PS3 is at a disadvantage, this is just an excuse
In fact, the only advantage PS3 has is with odin and behemoth, not contents like coil.
