    Crafting leves are separate, so why not harvesting?

    A good point I've heard brought up recently is why not have harvesting leves separate? It only seems to make sense in the context of local leves being already apart from battlecraft. This way it would promote further crafting and leveling up fieldcraft specializations. I hate having to make the choice between fieldcraft and battlecraft sometimes so it would be a really nice change to make =/. What do you guys think ?

    I dont do any fieldcraft and dont like it but I completely agree with this. It would also help those who enjoy it rank up fast, as far as im aware Fieldcraft is the slowest to level? So to help speed it up would be to allow you to keep your 8 fieldleves. It wouldnt be dramatically faster but it would help im sure and bring people over to that class. Hell I might try it out myself if I can use leves, but i always choose Battle over it.

    i don't think its necessary. Harvesting leves give -huge- sp bonuses and with abilities that double your sp you can easily be getting 1500 sp per "log". So i think what they have now is fine. Only thing i'd like to see is maybe -ONE- more ;eve per week at each rank in each area.

    Agreed 100%.

    Actually I wrote a post about this exact thing on the Guildleve forum, and I have sent SE a few emails on it using the suggestion area as well. I hope they do consider letting the Fieldcraft leves be their own section. I hate giving up battle leves to level my gathering classes... but I love gathering.

    if they made gathering into their own section they would have to drop the sp rates :x

    Nah, gathering takes by far the longest to level. That 48 miner you see in my profile took as long as GS and BS combined, and 3/4 of all my battle jobs combined.

    i know im a 39 bot but im pretty sure the reason for that is to limit the supply of gathered goods so that the jobs are worthwhile to level. if it was easy to level up everyone would have them and all the prices for the items they produce would drop

    I got to agree... out of everything I have leveled, my gathering classes take the longest due to the low sp when gathering on a normal basis. Plus only getting 2 leves a city every reset within your level range, and the fact that it takes away from your battle leves so thats less SP for fighting classes.

    Also they don't have as many rank ranges as crafting. Where crafting leves are easier to get and players can get 20/25/30/35 etc... harvesting only gets 10/20/30 etc... once you're a few ranks over that 30 level the SP starts dropping and honesty it sucks. I'd be happy if they just raised to 4 leves a city and made it a separate area away from Battle leves.

    In all of this there is one simple fact that is unfair: people who like gathering and fighting should not have to choose between the two and decide which they want to sacrifice.

    Oh they already ****ed that up beyond recognition. There is little to no point in being a gatherer. We hold *no* economic power and have no say in ANYTHING that goes on. We got steamrolled because gatherers just straight oversupply a bunch of **** product anyway.
