Please follow logic:
1: Item shows up in database = it is in the game currently
2: currently only coil drops ilvl 90 items
3: shield = ilvl 90 = should be in coil
4: shield cannot be found in coil
i: out of the many weeks of clearing T1-5, NOT ONE IS FOUND

so we have an item that is suppose to be in the game but cannot be found.

bluebird has been in the database since the beginning and has never been actually attainable in game so their goes 1
relic+1 is 90 so no to 2
every single gear drop in coil is "Allagan XXX" so no to 3

it just isn't in the game currently for unknown reasons

I too am interested in knowing whether or not we we get our ilvl 90 shields. Will be awaiting hopeful developer response ^^;

I think some of you are missing the point here's a little comparison about the 3 different options atm.

Stardust +1

32 vit
31 int
18 det
37 SS

allagan + ancient

32 vit
31 int
37 acc
18 SS

So the Allagan + ancient is basically the same as stardust +1

allagan + darksteel HQ 5x overmeld

29 vit
28 int
34 acc
26 SS
8 crit

And this option is a loss of 3 vit 3 int 3 acc for a gain of 8SS (pretty worthless imo) and 8 crit. Crit's pretty good but it only makes up for about 1 of the 3 lost points of int meaning this option is a 10% loss of vit for this set and a 6% loss of int and a 8% loss of ACC. Meaning that for this set to be effective the allagan weapon needs to basically get a 10% boost to all it's stats to be as effective as the stardust +1. If this happens it means that every other class gets a weapon 10% better and BLM gets a sidegrade. And if that's not enough lets look at the shields effectiveness(pretty silly considering it's caster but there's a point to be made).

So 25% less block strength and 10% less block rate.

It's not that I feel entitled it's just that I'd like some kind of idea if SE is just going to add an incentive to getting the allagan weapon for BLM rather than it just being a side grade.(also pretty sure I specifically mentioned the possibility of it dropping from extremes and said I was fine with that but whatev's)

Putting [To the devs] in your topic title does not increase the chance of a dev response. If you don't want discussion, then stuff the suggestion box at the help desk in-game. I suppose you've probably seen other people doing this, but the community reps themselves have said they read all the threads here whether or not you put [to the devs] in it.

A lot more than 2-3 groups per server have beaten turn 5. Once the full strategy was developed it was only a matter of time before many other people followed.

The allagan weapons are being bumped up to lv95 so they will be more than just a sidegrade.

You're so welcome. You're sure to get plenty of attention regardless of whether you do that or not, so unless you want the attention to come mostly from the people who complain about this sort of thing, you're still better off not doing it.

The point is that since the combo of allagan + darksteel is 10% worse (about) than stardust +1 if the allagan weapon becomes 10% better than it is. That makes it exactly a side grade. Also if something crazy happened and allagan was 50% better than it is currently every other class gets that 50% boost but BLM gets a 40% boost.

Think about it this way. Both shields have the prefix of "Ancient". So assuming they do drop from the same location, WHM already get a 2-handed weapon drop from Coil. If ancient shield and buckler were to drop from coil, wouldn't WHM have a useless shield drop?

Yes but at the same time there is no ilvl 90 whm 1-hand so the whm shield is always useless in the game atm but there is an ilvl 90 blm weapon meaning it would be a very useful item, compared to the always useless whm shield.

Try dropping 3 neurolink in the same spot, it will spawn an extra coffer once twintania is killed
