Shard cost is around the same for other foods that level. Price is prolly just because people use it. But honestly, I just stick with Buttons in a Blanket. As others have said, the Double Star foods, with the exception of Sauteed Coeurl, are worse due to the lower percentages. Coeurl gets 4% for Vit instead of 2% like the other double star foods, but also takes a tome item to make. Though you get like 10 of them for 125 tomes.

Again, Buttons is your best bet, especially for all around since all roles can make good use of it.

The thing with Buttons is that it's much, MUCH more expensive, on average, than Mulled Tea. At least on my server. I don't even bother trying to sell HQ Mulled Tea, whereas HQ Buttons give me an average of 1.5-2k gil a piece.

I'm used to just making them myself, not all that hard to get the mats for either. Just takes a little time. I carry about 50 HQ Buttons, Toast, Deviled Eggs, and Stuffed Cabbage with me all the time.

And you dont need to farm Apkallu eggs.

I have to farm them for the Deviled Eggs and La Noscean Toast. Though not difficult on Summoner. I just do it while we wait for Coil Members to log on.
