    What would be the point of having a myth cap if ilvl 90 gear isnt the top tier gear?

    Basing experience on Rift, and from what I've read from posters from WoW. Generally when a new tier of gear is added, the previous one is made easier and faster to obtain to allow people to "catch up" also it allows gearing up replacement players for top level content faster. As with Rift, if you lost someone when raiding vanilla tier 3 it became a nightmare finding or gearing up a replacement to be able to continue progressing.

    So yes, would make sense for either a much higher cap, reduced myth cost on items or even increaing the number of drops from turns 1-5. Removing the cap I cant see as much happening.

    They'll either reduce the cost of myth tomes for ilvl 90 or move them down into philo tomes.
