Go crawl into a hole and burn
All the current system needs is a buy at counter option. Add a new zone that you walk into but at the same place
ie your options would be
Market Wards
Search Counters
Close
at the search counter you do the current item search plus a buy now feature. This way the front of the Market Ward area doesn't get super crowded.
As others have mentioned, the ability to buy and sell from 1 window, price history, and the ability to search by typing in the name of the item I desire.
I voted for the first option. All I would like is the ability to search by typing an item name (or vastly improved browsing) - and the ability to buy instantly.
If they implement a delivery service, I am all for it becoming a gil sink to remove money from the economy. One should pay for the convenience of having the item delivered, and in my opinion the cost should be equal to the tax assessed on the seller with a minimum flat rate as well. Yes, that amounts to doubly taxing the same item but would kill two birds with one stone.
This could be an idea for the current MW, or for an AH in the future. Merge/stabilize current MW, or when you release an AH please make sure three starter cities share one AH like XI's now.
1. I don't want to warp anywhere to buy an item.
2. Price history. When putting an item for sale the default price is set based on price history average that the player can alter before accepting the up for sale-process. I want to see price history automatically when selling because otherwise I'd need to track it down via buy menu (a'la XI). It's tedious because I don't probably know the category of the item I'm selling.
3. Easy search for a specific item also for controller users.
4. Request an item and set a fee if somebody completes your request. (almost like real quests!)
5. Bigger screen-space for open menus. When I'm shopping I don't need to see 80% of the screen looking at an AH counter while I try to squint at the item names. This is currently really terrible in XIV!
A handful of the out-of-job retainers begging for gil near a beautiful AH would make me smile every time I shop.
I have to thank Square-Enix for the amazing job they have done recreating Final Fantasy XIV from Scratch. Especially the inclusion of Missing Genders which we petitioned for in good faith. This was proof to us players that the Developers are truly Sympathetic to our requests and that being honest and vocal can pay off with the amazing characters we have who are Female Roegadyn, Male Miqote, and Female Highlanders. Thank You SE, Thank You Community Team, Thank You Yoshi-P.
