I'd much rather see them add quivers for our ranged slot. They could enhance abilities in some way, add additional effects or just simply add stats. (Current game, "stats" would be the easiest to add).
    • Basic ones (like all other gear) could be crafted. Yay economy!
    • Better ones could come from dungeons or raids.
    • They would be an equipable, non-consumable item, meaning you get it once and keep it. Or turn it into that spiffy fire materia IV you've always wanted.
    • They would go into your offhand armory chest, making inventory management a non issue (With all classes 50 you barely half fill it).

Yessss!!! I agree, and have them add visual effects (not present on every quiever). Such as fire/thunder/ice/poison infused arrows (missing earth maybe, but wouldn't make much sense :P unless they are dirty arrrows!). And have them either do additional elmental damage (affected by resistances) or just sheer visual effects.

I don't think you can see arrows, it would be nice if you could (haven't played close attention) but if there are they are not obvious enough :P

And on the ammo topic, I think it's a nice addition. I love ammo system as well, but I agree it has to be balanced enough (so it's not significant in price, either by making few mats make many arrows, easy to craft, no HQ available as it would make it unbalanced having fluctuating dmg depending on the quality of your ammo). But yeah, I believe if implemented right it doesn't have to have a negative impact.
