So you messed up and accidentally made a non active player the master? Then expect them to jump on fixing it for you? I know their CS isn't the greatest, but this is probably very minor on their list of problems to deal with.

Well, it's kinda a poor attitude to have a list of "minor" and "non-minor" issues when it comes to player satisfaction. They don't have any real GMs in this game who are supposed to deal with issues like this.

Noahlimits~ It was completely by accident. There is no indication or different text when changing ranks that you are promoting another player to Master. The window looks exactly the same as a regular promote/demote. Now, we have no way to retrieve that. It was indicated by a GM response that this is possible, but after following instructions to the letter.. they now say they cannot assist. To me that seems very off. I have put in 4 tickets in all, and will probably end up putting in more. It is frustrating!
flavored~ Exactly, this to us is pretty big. We have spent our time and effort, and it just all seems so trivial to a support team that is supposed to.. support us. I realize RMT is a big issue.. but this particular problem is something that should not fall by the wayside because of that.
Actually, GMs will contact you in game WITHIN THE HOUR if you file a report on in-game harassment. As far as that goes, they're on top of things. Everything else I can't speak for.
It took them about 3 hours to respond to my request, each time. At least. Their priority list straight from the support site is:
•Harassment
•Inappropriate Behavior
•Activities that affect game balance
•Real Money Transactions (RMT)/RMT Solicitation
•Impersonation
I understand our in-game issue falls outside of this. I am just unclear as to why I was advised it could be adjusted, and now it seems completely out of the question.
Totally wrong.
When players can't play the game due to problems of SE's making, those are FAR, FAR more important than fixing problems caused by players' stupidity.

What kind of response is this? Sure tc made a mistake, but thats why this is a p2p game and not a damn free to play, where customer service is far better than the POS we get from SE.
Not to justify it in any way, but SE customer service has been not-so-great since FFXI. It hasn't changed in over 10 years, so I just don't know why people are surprised anymore. Yeah, it'd be great to get in game issues resolves quickly, but sadly that just isn't this company.
At one point I had to completely restart XI because their customer service took months to get back to me about restoring my previous account. You really only have two choices at that point: deal with it and keep subscribing or stop playing and putting your money towards the product. I'd love for their CS to magically get better, but if the past is any indication it just isn't going to happen.
For the most part I'm happy with FFXIV, therefore I'll keep supporting the game despite some flaws with the company.

The friggin' support is a damn joke.
Edit: I remember a topic somewhere saying, someone had an inactive LEADER
and they wondered if they could past lead. You can try and search it.
Can't remember if there was a Dev response...I think though.
