If this is the case, it makes sense. We wouldn't notice it on our other CDs, as they have relatively short Cast Times/Animations. IIRC, the animation for HG has a delay before it starts, even after the CD is used. For this type of ability, the effect should really be getting applied at the start of the animation and not at the end. Nothing like using HG to prevent dying, only to die before the effect starts and have a timer before you can use it again.

The animation is actually on the long side. We throw our arms upward and AFTER that there is a little flash and we gain a spherical goldish shield THEN we're immune, lol. Meanwhile the CD was burned 2+ seconds before the actual buff is applied and we start to gain the effects resulting in our immediate death and loss of 420 seconds of cooldown time, lol.

It's still bogus that the status effect pops on your bar but you still take damage afterward. It felt like there is an issue with damage checking formula that doesn't account for tightly timed buff usage.
I also have a feeling that when a monster is "about" to attack you, the damage calculation is already done. Bam. You're going to take 3k damage no matter what even if you manage to pop HG before the monster's attack animation.

Holy pizza slices batman! 4300 is a big number. Totally unmitigated MB on a warrior?

Almost. No Foresight, no Virus, no Rain of Death, no Stoneskin. Think E4E had procced but that was it. We wanted to see exactly how hurtful table flip was. I figured I had ~8300 life with ToB up so I hit that and my WHM topped me off. Highest normal I've actually seen is around 4700, but those usually kill me since it means Titan has no debuffs at all, which usually means things have gone south.

I had it crit for about 6k once. Man that was funny. I was just....gone. Like I had never been there. Approximately 6/7 of my life wiped out in the blink of an eye. Then there was the time I had a crit Adloquium and Stoneskin on me, with Virus, RoH debuff, E4E and RoD on Titan. I parried and he crit me for about 87. Many lols were had.

I'm just spoiled... our SCH/WHM duo from Coil heals our Titan carries and I'm used to taking like... 0 dmg from MB, lol.
