Sitting on 600 myth, want to know if I should save up for chestpiece (seeing as I'm wearing Militia and refuse the Darklight 2+1) or should I go +1 on my weapon right this second?

Most people agree that the shield is the best update for the least tomes. Personally I'd get the sword+1 first, but then I hate losing threat at all, ever... and my DPS are somewhat trigger happy. If you're not having issues with agro, then shield->chest is fine.

up to you. i don't have the sword because i have no trouble holding hate on my FC's resident trigger-happy black mage, but i intend to get it after i get my chest and ring.

Same for me, I went relics (+1 sword first) before my gear.
I'd say do Turn 1 coil at least once before you spend your myth. Hope to get lucky and then spend your myth accordingly. Reason I say this, is I got Boots from turn 1, but I'm wearing Hoplite legs because I didnt get legs from turn 2, since i spent my tomes on other stuff already, I have to wait until I either get enough tomes to get Valor Legs or get lucky on Turn 2 legs.
Personally, it depends on a lot of stuff. Me, I went with Chest and Head first. Reason I did this is from +0 to +1, it was only a 0.89 Dps stat increase and I already had no issue at all with aggro tables, even with more than well geared Dps (can't say that I'm not stressed on aggro sometimes on pack pulls but it's all fun and you always have some "oh shit" buttons if a Dps pulls a mob from you).
Personally, I'd say, if you have no problems with aggro and can rotate well you abilities, go with what you wish first. In the small run, it doesn't really make a difference (for example, not having your +1 vs a full team of +1 dps in a boss fight will not make you loose that aggro).
Manilas StWolf - Level 82 Paladin - Diabolos - Final Fantasy A Realm Reborn
Manilas - Level 80 Human Berserker - Anvil Rock - Guild Wars 2
Manilas - Level 76 Human Warrior - Ares - Knight Online World
Manilas - Level 50 Human Warrior - Turalyon - World of Warcraft
Manilas - Level 150 Human Warrior - Adventure Quest

I got both in the same time when i got got my 900 myth before i kill Titan so when i got my Curtana I just upgrade it right away.
I wouldn't bother anymore. Just get the extreme primal i90 weapon and call it a day. Pick up myth left side for the defensive increase instead. I would consider +1 holy shield if you dont have it, but I kind of regret getting +1 curtana now with primal weapons being released in 2.1.
Unless the extreme primal quest line weapon has acc/parry its going to be inferior to Curtana+1. Unless you already have an Allagan Blade (which is BiS) you should be using Curtana since the acc on it lets you wear ilvl90 you couldnt wear without it.I wouldn't bother anymore. OP: If you have any serious intention of doing coil, get +1. My group's BLM got lucky w/ drops the last 2 weeks and now has full ilvl90. It's an effort with +1 keeping hate off him on certain things (Turn 2 fire starter node, Asclepius, Turn 4)
Also not sure what everyone is smoking with Holy Shield+1. It's worst vit per myth upgrade you can make early on. Allagan Shield drops in turn 1 and is BiS.

I think if you're having no issues with enmity, can hold relic +1 weapon later.
But if enmity issue, then relic +1 will help.
But since you do not have Hoplite body and not use Darklight, then myth body may give you maybe 15-18 Strength and Vitality. Save up for that.
