    Behemoth/Odin Fates? WHAT? WHY!

    So for my final discussion topic for everyone because if there was one it must be on page 500 by now,

    Odin/Behemoth have fates, they randomly appear and yay if you get them however, why?

    Why are they not just instanced like other primals, I noticed in my problem we have soo many people we can't ever see Odin or Behemoth maybe the heart of Odin if we get lucky, in this fate I have had issues healing players, selecting them and even attacking, I just do not understand why these are fates why couldn't they be a 24 man dungeon fight or something or just an arena like the other primals.

    I don't understand as well.

    In fact, I've never tried going into Odin / Behemoth FATEs in my almost 4 months of playing due to the fact that it's too crowded and I might just get pissed off because of errors / smth.

    that and its just way to hard trying to keep up when the spawn its almost not worth it if you have a life cause they always pop when your not around...

    I tried Odin once on BRD. Never died, kept dps on him nearly the entire fate duration.
    Came out with bronze reward, and never attempted again.

    Would have loved theese major badass bosses to be an BCNM style fight instead.

    I see what they're trying to do with the big fates like these two, but they don't work for these reasons. Plus making it instanced makes more complex mechanics possible.

    1. Behemouth is no primal. He is more like a HNM
    2. Odin was planned as a non-instanced primal since, ...hmm, 2012?

    About the problem with not seeing Odin and Behemouth, fix is coming with 2.1

    I like the random element, it's akin to the way that Odin would randomly appear in battles. It's too boring if everything is by the numbers all the time.

    Or at the very least they could be FATE events that everyone can be part of but you can use the items received for participation to purchase an item that will allow you to enter a better tuned version for just a party or an alliance.

    They can make the FATEs more complex, they just need to structure them better... Rather than "Here's Odin, go to town on him", they should have split the FATE up into several smaller ones. Something like;
    First FATE, Odin spawns, doesn't use all his moves, get Odin down to X% after which he despawns. FATE complete, no Mantles though.
    Second FATE(s), 9 Valkyrie spawn (see: XI Einherjar) each as their own separate FATE across the area. Can tie these into the main Odin FATE in various ways similar to how current Primal fights work (defeating Nails/Heart blocks insta-death move, defeating Sisters removes buffs, etc.). When completed they should give Mantles to get people to do them, but obviously not as many as Odin proper (if Odin gives 2 for Bronze (he doesn't iirc), Valkyrie gives 1, etc.).
    Third FATE, Odin respawns midway during the second FATE(s). Works pretty much the same as currently, except now you have people doing the 9 Valkyrie FATEs as well, making it less of a zergrush.

    Whoever at SE decided Odin should just be a single FATE, when we have how many FATEs about Qiqirn attacking Highbridge? Yeah... Fire that man...

    These Fates are actually extremely fun if there's like only 3~5 competent parties (so around 40 people max) fighting at it.

    Sadly the ideal condition is nearly impossible to achieve since the only way to have less people at Odin/behemoth is at off hours, but then you run into the dilemma of less competent players online to beat the Fate (apply more for Odin).
