These two are a utter disappointment, i absolutely hate them. Never do them. I wouldn't have a clue what Odin looks like without screenshots as I cant see him and Behemoth, by the time I get close enough for the game to render him, i get 1shotted by something, i dont even know what.

    Both fights suck.

I too like the random element to it. It's not supposed to be something everyone can have easy access to. Its suppose to be a rare sighting. And its in there for all those people that wanted "open world NMs." Well, here you go. You've got two of them. I like that you get an item to save up for the actual reward instead of a completely random loot pool. That was SOOO aggravating in FFXI. Spend huge quantities of time hunting down this NM... someone else gets the drop.

I'd like a random element for him to appear in another Primal battle. FFVIII had an awesome effect in the late-game story where you got Gilgamesh if you had Odin by a certain point. Why not take a note from that book - add in some type of Primal battle (Such as Gilgamesh, for ****s n'giggles), and have Odin have a % chance of hijacking your primal battle into a harder version. :P Could even make it mid-fight so you just see out of no where Odin coming down and one-shotting the boss, lol.

    If I may...

-behemoth and odin has an invisible aoe range centered on them
-anyone who enters this range is susceptible to a debuff called "absolute fear" (or whatever else you wish to call it)
-behemoth and odin will start applying these debuffs to players once the number of people in their range starts going past xxx number
-anyone who has this debuff is invisible to everyone except their party members and they cannot apply any action to behemoth and odin (but can still be hit by them)
-this debuff is not curable but once it goes away naturally, the player will be immune to it for xx seconds and can start attacking behemoth again
-at any given time, there will always be xxx number of players not affected by this debuff and can fight behemoth and odin normally
-once a group of fighting players that werent affected by the debuff gets the debuff, the HNMs will switch his attention to a new group of players that are now debuff free
-debuff application and immunity has party prioritization (if someone in the party gets debuffed and taken out of the fight, everyone else in the party will too, and vice versa)

Basically the game will force players to take turns and hopefully have a chance of attacking the HNMs and try to do as much as possible while they're free of the debuff. Extra battle mechanics can probably be added too, like adds spawning and attacking people that cannot attack the main target. Timing and numbers adjusted after testing, of course.

Odin/Behemoth have fates, they randomly appear and yay if you get them however, why?

Why are they not just instanced like other primals, I noticed in my problem we have soo many people we can't ever see Odin or Behemoth maybe the heart of Odin if we get lucky, in this fate I have had issues healing players, selecting them and even attacking, I just do not understand why these are fates why couldn't they be a 24 man dungeon fight or something or just an arena like the other primals.
Because there is no content of significance in the open world besides storyline and quests?

These are open world bosses intended to hush up all the ppl complaining about no open world content (obviously 2 big NMs isn't enough for anybody though). The stuff you're complaining about in these fates will be addressed in 2.1.

I do like the ideas posed here for the fights though, would shake things up a little.

I've been in a group that started on Odin to kill him from the beginning to the end - no deaths and LB'ed him. We got bronze - was complete bs. So haven't cared for em since. Plus Sleipnir chocobo looks awkward to me lol.

Also had this on behemoth, stayed for whole fight, never died, and got bronze/silver.

    Can't wait for the changes.

    ---
I actually don't mind them as open fates - Odin's fate makes the whole world adapt to him so it's a frantic to find where he is. lol
