This is not what MMOs are for. Its become a disturbing trend, log on, spam for marks and then vanish once cap is reached, to you folks I say, you are doing it wrong.

"Oh but that's what I like". Well that's fine, but don't whine about how bored you are, and don't say how little content there is when you refuse to indulge in anything else the game has to offer.

Gold Saucer, Chocobo racing, a card game, housing, crafting, chatting with friends, barding..all these things are what makes an MMO what it is.

A world, a place where you can immerse yourself, not a race to the top where its all about claiming superiority over others.

Idk when people forgot that, the little things make an MMO what it is, its a world, not a straight line.
yes, I used some wording that made people rage extremely quickly, but Blackshroudmercs has very eloquently stated what I was thinking, sans the catchy title.
Believe it or not, I understand that dungeons, literally, are content. And although I enjoy exploring new dungeons, they get stale very quickly and again, we're left with nothing to do but stand in Mor Dhona considering joining a Garuda or Titan pug just for the heck of it (you know you do this).

I have all the DoL's and all the DoH's i want leveled (missing arm and bsm cuz I was never a fan). But there's no point in them except to sell to up-and-coming DOH levelers. What a stupid system. While I do look forward to housing and what that will bring for crafters, it seems like it will just involve having to do more combat to get what we need for specific items. Treasure Hunting may be the same thing.

What's wrong with creating a well-balanced world in an MMO, that has other enjoyable activities rather than just primal fights and dungeon fights and fate fights and fights and fights?
