Problem with CT is still what I stated; if it's less efficient than speedrunning, it'll be largely ignored.

I have seen the exactly same argue goin on while I was playin one of the hardest PvE mmo out there, Age of Conan. Period it had the most advanced raid tacts up to date compared to any other mmo and one specific Tier + one "puzzle raid" that ended at poppin the hardest raid boss in game were skipped because it was too hard and not rewarding enough compared to the highest Tier of raid that was a cake walk compared

People just want everything on a plate. That excuse of progression is a pure hypocrisy, if you can't enjoy a game for what it is then by all mean just leave.

But please, don't just automatically label and assume I'm a white knight. I have my own issues with the game.

Didn't mean for it to come across that way, you didn't tell me to level an alt class either (so the comment wasn't necessarily directed at you but all of the people who do say that).

Also, I understand running pre-coil stuff with another class. It does sound fun and I am leveling a DRG just to do that. But knowing there is that progression wall is really killing any real drive I have at actually working on the DRG, as I know I'm gonna hit that coil wall really fast (considering there is still very little in terms of endgame progression even after 2.1). The coil wall just kills it for all of that lower level content for me. I'll do it just to have options when someone in the FC needs help and has a tank, but its not something I'm going to actively pursuing. I've already bought a full LNC darklight set with spare phil tomes, which will probably be all of the gear it ever gets sans whatever is getting greeded/trashed from running coil on my PLD. Darklight is all my DRG will ever need though, as the only content that requires more than darklight gear is coil, which I can't run on my DRG.

I would rather farm CT for i80 gear then farm Darklight.....

Really I have no reason to get the regular AF other then get the last Job skills due to me having a complete ilvl 55+ gear from AK/WP runs. And I have all STR acc's due to farming them for MNK also. So CT will be a welcome change for me.

More than welcomed change for me also given im playin multiple toons, gonna have more diversity to gear them all up and by that, virtually "extending" my playtime which is all I was waitin, while doin Coils on my main and PvP on my drag. Couldn't ask more

I think we both agree here on these things. I don't understand whats all the fuss over this game sometime. I personaly am enjoying it even at the brick wall turn 4 (Stuck here atm)

Because i said Coil/CT was too hard? Or too easy?

I apologize for being rude and labeling others initially. I realize not everyone has the same definition on what content is; nonetheless I will still be enjoying the content patch 2.1 has to offer. I would like to suggest however to those who say they have no interest in leveling different jobs; just try it out. Before you say its boring and not content at least try it. For me anyways, running the level 50 content on new jobs is fun and helps things feel fresh. For me anyways. Whether you choose to do this or not is entirely up to you; its just a suggestion. Good day fellow forum goers!

I'm going to second this. I've been a WHM main for the longest time and was burning out, but I decided to take up WAR and I'm loving it right now. Honestly, I never even thought I would enjoy tanking in any MMORPG, but there's just something about WAR that appeals to me. I've also run across a lot of awesome people that have complimented me on my tanking skills, so I guess I'm doing something right lol.

So please, give leveling something else a try if you feel bored. I honestly find it extremely hard to believe that a game with currently 8 classes and 9 jobs, each with their own style and play, a player can only like one and nothing else. For those people, I have a question: Did you play FFXI too? If so, can you honestly say you only stuck with one job ever in your entire time playing that game?

i personally don't mind the direction SE is going with 2.1, i would rather have more options to gear and more opportunities for myth tomes than be forced into "darlight or gtfo." no raid harder than coil for 2.1? whatever, my fc hasn't beaten turn 5 yet. i see 2.1 as a something of a way to get the gear so my fc can clear turn 5 consistently and ready for the next 5 turns of coil and beyond (seeing how crystal tower was intended to be in 2.0 originally, but it wasn't ready. we are missing a tier of gear like it or not.)

Who are you kidding? It plays just like any other MMO but with less customization.

WoW is still very successful whether you want to admit it or not, even if they're down to 7 million they probably have more than all of the P2P combined. The game has been out for almost a decade so of course it's gonna face a decline, it's old. Hate it all you want but this game will never get any close to the success of WoW.
