I want a Dark Paladin AF2 gear. xD

We can take some visors down but not hoods. I don't like it either. Ruins the fun with mages sometimes because most, if not all the gear, has hoods. Ugh!Dislike it. I dislike the forced hoods too, since I love my geeky kitty in her glasses, and so many robes say NOPE. The dye is very annoying though. I remember getting the first fancy looking set of gear (Acolyte's stuff) and thinking how awesome it looked other than the fact it was dirt brown, and ended up so sad I couldn't dye it. I don't think EVERYTHING needs dyeable, and I'm a bit torn on changing the colors of certain specific looks like the classic White Mage, etc, but more need to be dyeable than currently are, regardless.
My thoughts: the more customisation and variety, the better. The more clones, the worst. It's something I found recurrent in MMORPGs population: they like customization.
Why would it be restricted? I've read somewhere something about keeping the dungeon loot "unique" (which paradoxically makes for more clones).
While it does make sense to want to give crafted items more customisation, and keeping dungeon loots unique, it would be viable if crafted items had more diversity.
Also, until vanity slots are implemented, the apearance of the gear is linked to its stats, so clones are inevitable, and dyes are the only way to mitigate this.

I just want vanity slots.
As more gear becomes available with new content; there will be less clones.

There isn't a single good reason anyone could possibly give as to why all gear shouldn't be dyable.
I don't understand what SE is trying to accomplish by making it so limited. Why did they even bother wasting time developing a dye mechanic when none of the most used gear can be dyed?
I wish all gear was dye-able. It would be awesome to be able to dye relic armor, especially Monk's to like orange.

I'd like it if it wasn't the whole piece that got dyed, but a portion of it, like the red accents on the Darklight for example. If they could be dyed other colors that'd be nice. I mean AF/Relic I get... but anything else.... should definitely be dyeable at least to some extent.

Well let's see it makes everyone lvl 50 look exactly the same in some misguided attempt to keep the gear "unique". And now we're all uniquely ununique.
I don't care if someone else doesn't like I've changed the color of my clothes, I should have more say in my character's appearance than some stranger that feels the default colors are "iconic". They didn't earn my gear for me, I likely never play with them, and quite frankly justifying these restrictions just so they won't have suffer seeing other people in recolored gear in town is rather selfish. It won't stop their right to stick with the default colors

Hate it.
All the good stuff worth dyeing, you aren't allowed to.
