I think for secondary stats, the extra Crit would be nice for non-Coil content. Without crit gear, averaging a little below 5% crit on a dungeon run. With about 8+ instance runs a week and soon to be more, some crits may be nice. It's also nice when a Regen tick crit procs.

I try to look at the Astral and caster Rose Gold accessories in one of three ways:
1) If healer is not my main and I do not have i90 accessories, this allows me to start closing the gap via effort or money.
2) Allows for a different build that the Allagan and Hero accessories do not offer.
3) A set of multi-purpose caster accessories that will function for four jobs.

And while I would like to have more options, I think Astral gear is that way where a White Mage could explore the "option" of reliable Cleric's Stance dancing in Coil, otherwise Aeros, Holys, Fluid Auras, etc. can and will miss.

I try to think of the i90 accessories as specializing toward the one field that the stats give us. E.g. of Fending specializes toward survival for a tank, but doesn't lend itself to the Sword Oath Paladin or the hybrid-Defiance Warrior

Generally speaking, vendor gear is never going to be perfectly itemized. I think it was a mistake on SE's part to make all of the jewelry Crit, but like others have pointed out - you do have the option to wait for drops. I know, it takes a long time, and I have been there before, trust me. But you aren't going to suffer a huge amount by having to wait.

I believe you will find that with Allagan jewelry of healing, 3 pieces are +DET and 2 are +SSp. As a SCH, you can have them. Aside from the ring, a SCH is better off waiting on those rings, leaving you all to your lonesome to pick them up.

About the only thing Allagan has over Hero's, is that it will be bumped to iLV95 in 2.1. Probably means +1 to each/some stat on those pieces.

As for what you do in the mean time? Seriously, chill out with your i70 jewelry. Fully melded, those kick the crap out of just about everything else. Realistically, melded equipment should be closer to i80-85 depending on how you match it up.

Crafted jewelry is better anyhow. No vit stat for healing jewelry allagan or AF +1.

Scholars have to buy most of their i90 gear. White Mages have to rely on drops. It's unfortunate, but it is what it is.
